okay, I voted explorar here. I've used opera for a while, but then it started to crasch all the time, which I thought was very odd. reinstalling it didn't help that much either. so now, on windows, I use explorar, on linux I use mozilla (which I am aware is basically the same as netscape).

I haven't touched Netscape for a long time now.... so, maybe that's the case. What really miffs me is that no browser I've seen so far supports CSS2 glow features!

CP5670 IE5.5...mmm I use to use that version..not too bad but it doesn't support XSL very well at all or conform to W3C standards either.

Lonestar thanks for poping that up about CSS support in Netscape7. See part of the reason for posting is to get an opinion of what browsers people prefer and to see what I miss (what the browser doesn't support).

Thanks for all your responses
Max

Next time you bother to make a poll, at least make it complete. I'd recommend including options for IE 5.x, IE 6.x, Netscape 4.x, Netscape 7, Mozilla 1.x, and whatever flavors of Opera there are. Oh, and any of those Linux browsers (Konqueror is the only one I know of offhand).

Personally, I keep to the lowest common popular denominator, since I do web development. For this point in time, that (still) means IE 5.01. I have IE 5.5 installed on another computer, IE 6.0 and Opera 7 under my Win98 installation (I dual-boot 2k and 98). But for personal (not testing) use, I use Mozilla 1.21 for browsing and email.

Although what with the sucky way the Palm syncs with Mozilla's mail and contacts, I may just go back to using Outlook. :doubt: :sigh:

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. I'm sure there are conduits (the little program interfaces that syncronize data between PC and Palm) that would support Eudora, esp. since it's such a popular email client. As a matter of fact, Palm's own email conduit probably supports it, IIRC. But I've tried Eudora, and I don't like the interface.

Mozilla is A-1 SUPAR! :)  Netscape just blows more chunks than a drunk with an uber hangover ever since they released 4.x.

Netscape doesn't even have half the features of Mozilla, including the popup blocker!
