How did each of you find your way to HLP? I came here because Setekh sent me, but everyone else... well, I don't know why you're here or how you got here? Is there advertising and stuff? Do you guys actively try and attract people or what? It looks like more and more people join everyday, where do you all come from? Dunno, I'm just curious, it's strange how an community of people who have never meet each other face-to-face grows and thrives like this place does

Then again, maybe it's cos you haven't met each other face-to-face that you keep coming back

Followed a link from VW, but didn't think much of it then. It wasn't until the first model contest, that I began to lurk here regularly.

Back on the VBB I'd heard this was the place to go if one had modding questions.  I began directing people here even before I stuck my own head in the door.  I myself registered in December, 2001.  Then a month later I decided to try some simple table hacking for a new beam weapon, and wanted to change the impact ani.  Needing information on how to do that, I came here to ask.  I've been a permanent fixture ever since.

I gathered as much, as is the case for most of you... I guessed from your post counts (took me a while to find it actually, I was looking for it on the left). You all keep coming back... I don't know why, but I am too

I visited this place before it had a forum i downloaded and added my mods here.
I think it was about a few weeks later when they oppend the forums. Thats when i joined the forums and been here ever since.
Learned all my modding skills here and also started rendering.

Let's see... I hung around the VBB for about a year and a half or so since June 2000, when I got FS2. While there, I heard about this dump... er, I mean place of miraculous wonders ... that was being made by Thunder and Steak. Paid it no mind. Left the VBB after it deteriorated. Well earlier last year I got back into FS and remembered this site and figured I might as well join the insanity.

Lesee... I think I was looking for user-made FS2 campaigns, and that led me to the VWBB. Hung out there in it's prime, and got to know Snipes and DC pretty well. They kept on urging me to join HLP as well, and I finally did.

And to add spice to the story, one day in August, 2002, Shrike asked me on ICQ if I liked my new title. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I looked, and lo and behold, "The Newest Admin" or something of the like, was right there.

And venom, we're gonna start implementing thousand mark seperations in the post counts because of you!
