Download GTF Canis Beta 0.2

Yep!  It's another of my nasty Homeworld conversions.  This time the victim is the Taiidan Scout.  This conversion was influenced by the success of my previous conversion of the Taiidan Attack Bomber to the GTB Tigris.  (Remember how the company that made Pong (TM) kept developing it?  Of course not.  Not everyone is in their mid-life crisis.)

Introducing the GTF Canis. (In trueSpace 4.2!)



I would've posted more trueSpace shots but my server was running out on me spacewise.  Anyway, if you want the model for your campaign when I release it, please tell me beforehand to give me more... smugness!

NOTE: I didn't do any background research on whether the name GTF Canis or Canis is taken.  If it is, please suggest another name.

Constructive (or Destructive) criticism is advisable for Rampage to bring newer and non-ripoff MODs to the community.

On the contrary. Carry on converting these ships. They're cute! Get someone to do a mini campaign to showcase them.

it doesn't look very dog like, unlike what the name suggests.
(canis is dog in Latin IIRC)

3 things:

First of all---Canis means dog, so it would make sense if it was somewhat dog shaped.  Hecate was not a dog, maybe she was ugly but I never saw Macbeth in person so I don't know.  If it looks like a dog then it is completely coincidental.

Second of all---Why does that Hecate have no beamcannons?

Third---Uh?  I kinda forgot the third thing.

I mised the likelyness between the real thing and the f14 tomcat, the the f16 falcon, the f22 raptor, the ah64 apache, the b2 spirit, the mi24 hind ( lol ), the "insert any name of any existing machine here". hell, no need to go that far: valkyrie, mjolnir, pegasus, etc etc.

Good point. The valkyrie must be edited immediately to look like a big breasted scandinavian woman!

Yes.  I should be done with the model by Friday and its interface animations (including the rotating one) by Tuesday or whatnot.

NOTE:  If someone wants to volunteer for the rotating interface animation for the Canis, please quote this post.  Help would be appreciated for my animations are scrap.
