Eh, save the TNT for the guard Commando on your way back. You need two crates to really get at him...

Out of curiosity, has there been a screenshot released of the Dx2 JC Denton orTracer Tong?

It's to be hoped so, but as far as I know, TT, will be in a similar state as LuciusDeBeers, i.e, being kept alive in stasis or some thing.

Anyway... you know that sort of shed in the corner of the subpen yard? The one marked 'danger, millitary bots'? For some reason, I once pressed the button on that... suffice to say I never did it again.

I did that the first time I played out of curiosity too and got killed immediately, but I fortunately had a saved game right before that so I just reloaded. :D

That is what I do as well. Those commandos are much more dangerous since they can kill you with a single hit from their machine guns. The WIB is strong but only has a sawedoff shotgun and so is much easier to deal with.

I thought he recovered from the gray death by the end of DX1...why does he need the life support thing?

A single hit?

Guess you were playing Realistic, eh?

That's the only way to play. :D

But those commandos have the same gun as the small security bots and are much more dangerous than any of the other normal infantry guys.

What do you people do when talking to Lebedev in that 747 level? Do you try to save him or let Navarre kill him?

On a side note, there is actually a bug in this area; go outside the plane and into the hangar, hit one of the NSF guys or the bot with a knife or something (which gets them mad) and then run over to Paul. At some point he will hear the shots or get hit by a stray bullet from them. Because he heard them shooting but not you, he thinks they started it, so he attacks them and eventually kills all of them, including the bot. He then chastises you for killing them when he did it himself. :D

Does anyone pay the fee at the Paris nightclub? I never do that, but instead just fire a shot near the doorman, which causes him to get scared and start running around and at some point he opens the door for me, so I can just get his key for free. He gets mad at you when to leave the club but is too wimpy to fight you or anything. :D

Also, has anyone seen what Hermann does if you free him from the cellar in the first level and give him a pistol? He fires it at the rate of an assault rifle and absolutely never misses. You can actually do some funny stuff in this level too by getting either him or Paul to kill many of the guys for you; once again, if Paul hears any shooting, he gets angry and goes after the disturbance himself.

Well that's whar PCZone said, he is being kept alive by some new tech. Bear in mind that DX2 is quite some time later, so he'll be an old man.

I try to knock him unconcious, but Navarre always kills him

Go in the back door, through the offices.

I always despacth all the NSF before freeing Gunther, so I've never seen it.

You dispatch all the NSF? Tsk... unprofessional :)

You can beat Liberty Island without killing anybody, though if you go to free Gunther it helps to taser a few guys near his cell

Oh, yeah, you can just ignore that mob in the base of the statue, they'll leave you alone...

That might have been true were there any actual difference between knocking someone "unconscious" and killing them, but they didn't implement that.

Offline diamondgeezer

Well the code is in there somewhere, since you can either kill Rock the dealer or knock his ***** ass out cold, and JC will tell El Rey different depending on what you did. Presumably it happens else where too. But your right, it seems that for the average terrorist on the steet, there's no difference between being unconcious or dead (therefore one ought to make a point of throwing peoples' unconcious bodies in the nearest river :))

If you kill the NSF on Liberty Island, Paul says "You've killed a lot of people tonight", if you just knock them out, he says, "Keep a level head, you're doing well so far"

And if he kills the NSF troops there, he still says "Keep a level head, you're doing well so far." :D

yeah but you need to lockpick that; at that point I have usually spent most of my lockpicks on that weapon dealer's apartment door.

can't you break it down? I haven't been to the Champ-Elyses for a few months.

Offline diamondgeezer

You can, but the gendarmes (or whatever they're called) get upset and shoot at you. You need to use the Masterkey i.e the GEP gun :)

Thought the Master Key was a LAM. GEP guns will open most doors, but, like a cheap credit card, they won't get you everywhere.

You can actually use a LAM there and the nearby policeman's back is turned to you so he does not see it (and strangely does not hear it either), but the troops on the other side of the building seem to hear it perfectly and come running to investigate. :p One of the troops actually has a LAW on him so that can be used too, but it's probably better to save it for the military bots.
