I'm back. And I'm bad (within certain acceptable preset parameters)

Hey guys... It's been a while since I've been around these parts...  a year in fact, if not more. I was just wondering if you guys could fill me in on what's gone on in the community since then- apart from the source code being released I don't know what's been going on! What I mean is are there any major mods that have been released, are the old guys still around ( like Kazan, Thunder, Shrike etc.) and generally anything important.

Setekhs gone (but you knew that)

Thunders Gone, his twin brother Kalifroth took over

Shrike's sleeping somewhere

Kazan's usually only in the sourcecode forum

Check the hosted forums for whats new

and.. NTV and BWO both released demos, among other numerous none hosted projects.

LM has had a few releases ( see main newspage) and I think thats it.

Oh... yea.. now you can play Silent Threat on FS2... as if you'd want to


we are working on redoing ST though into the campaign it should have always been. I think they're waiting on me to finish a mission, but it'll be done pretty soon which should be good.

The admins had their little fun thread a while back (hint: check "Previously Unidentified Star Wars Ep. V Ship"... yeah, Kalf... I mean Thunder.. ;7 )

Falkireth's City of Light, an art tutorial website, is up.

GE has taken over the Freespace Univeral Reference Project (basically a compilation of all possible FS knowledge).
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

If you're looking for new 158th stuff, most of it's gonna be at our dev archives but mik's hasn't been updated in a while :nervous: and all the textured ones are usually here.  Feel free to look around :D

Errr... dunno, can't remember- which one's that?

Heh... my crappy old 56k modem (that actually runs at a wopping 36k due to my local phone lines... when it's not running at 28.8 k that is) is working overtime at the moment downloading stuff- this should keep I busy for a while :)
