The Matrix Reloaded (Review Thread)
It is kinda hard to understand Neo's powers in the real world. I don't understand either how he felt them comming and how he stoped them. Well, when he wakes up in the Revolutions, we will see what really happened. Anyway, the film was really awesome. Fight scenes were much better in Reload than in The Matrix. D'oh

As for Neo's powers outside the Matrix, well I dont understand them either. Or the Oracle. Or the prophecy. Or Smith. But again, thats why I'm going to watch the third movie, and hope that its all part of a big explanation that fits, and not just shoehorned on to make it fit.

Spoiler:
He still has a choice because he loves one person more than anyone else, which is a difference from the previous Neo versions.
As for his power outside the Matrix... well, in a way he's just another rouge program like the Merovingian and the Keymaker and so.. but one for which the Machines have found a 'positive' role: namely rebooting the system, thus preserving humandkind from extinction. Cause he's a rouge program I suppose he has innate hacking abilities of great power.
That he can sense the machines outside the Matrix could potentially be explained that the machines use somekind of wireless network to keep contect with each other in the real world. Neo probably can feel/sense this wireless network and manipulate it at great cost.
They'll have a lot of explaining to do though.
It came from outer space! What? Dunno, but it's going back on the next flight!

neo can do stuff 'outside the matrix' becase he is still in the matrix, Zion is just a way of catching the people who don't inately accept the matrix, it is a way of letting them out of the matrix without letting them out of the matrix.

yeah, I thought of that a year or so ago. What if there are thousands of matrixes, where once you realize that you are within one, you wake up to another.

However, a truly enlightened individual could awake right to the very top one, realizing thats its just a lie, and rejecting it.

However, I'm not willing to take this as fact just yet, cause that would mean that humanity is ****ed.

Also, doesnt the war in the Matrix seem irrelevent? Even if they awaken all the people, the machines still kick ass in the real world. If they (humanity) were defeated once before when they had guns and weapons, why wont they be defeated now?

Also, why does Neo even need to fight Smith or anyone? If you realize that the Matrix is a lie, then you can do whatever you want. Neo could move as fast as he believes he can, have as many arms as many guns as he thinks he has. Then he could just take on anybody.

Discuss!!

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

What you just said doesn't make any sense at all. First Matrix and the real world are two different things. Zion is not a system as you reffer to it. Zion is just a city in the underground. Second, that Bain guy is actually agent Smith, so he kinda mannaged to get into the real world. I believe that the machines cracked down when they saw Neo because they don't see Neo like they see eeryone else. For instance, in the first matrix, when the machines breached the Nebaccanezard and when they entered inside and saw Neo and trinity. They stoped. They could have opened fire but they didn't. I think it was just a coincidence that Neo bailed at that time and Trinity in fear yelled NOW and well EMP flashed.

The real world is still the matrix. The machines are playing the humans for *****es and playing one step ahead of them as machines do. Everything else Razor/Rictor said is just to make the movie watchable.

It's not that hard to comprehend actually.

Well, that was... interesting.

The script was a bit too wordy near the beginning, and the ending was the awful - I mean I realise it's in two parts, but for God's sake, showing the baddie's face and playing suspense music?

Anywho, the action was predictably breathtaking. And Carrie Anne Moss is unspeakably hot. Oh, by the gods, she would get at a side angle. Yes.

Lastly, Razor - you so have no clue, do you?

:doubt:

She's not the most attractive woman, althought she got better from the first matrix. I like more curves on my women personally, but she's isn't that bad.

You lot know nothing. She's good to look at. Commendable use of PVC catsuit, I might add.

I guess I tend to go for strong a personality in a woman, I like someone to match my own force of will. Trinity's whole character just does it for me.

Agreed. Carrie-Anne Moss may be over thirty, but she still looks hot.

(On a related topic: have you guys seen Demi Moore? She's forty and still looks phenomenal! Must be some sort of special facial cream...)

Spoiler:
Its all the matrix! The real world is the matrix as well!!! A matrix within a matrix! The matrix as we know it is in a transition of failing once again, and the REAL world is the NEW version. So the machines have devised a cunning way to start an uprising to transfer the people from the old matrix into the new one, without the humans waking up. So that they'd think they were free!!! But in fact they are not! This way the machines can go happily about their business without worrying about losing crops anymore cause humans are then way too happy with themselves, because they have won!

I refuse to accept the matrix within a matrix explaination yet

As for Carrie-Ann Moss...she's a paper-bag case. She seems very old a wrinkly to me, though I didnt get to see much of her body, only the face. Most of the women (except Persephone) in the Matrix seem very butch and man-like. I guess this is cause the Wachowski Brothers did a lesbian film before the Matrix and it rubbed off or something

And since when is most of the world's population black? It seems to me that its about 1/3 Asian, 1/4 Black, 1/4 Arabic and the rest split between white and Latin

I'm not sure about that, but regardless, it seems like most of the people who go into the matrix on matrix-missions or whatever are white.  They don't like black people going into the matrix or something? Morpheus was like the only one in the first movie, I can't seem to remember too many from the second either:wtf:

Yeah, they dont like to send them on missions cause they're afraid their instincts will kick in and they're start stealing stuff from the matrix:D :D

But seriously, 3 our of the 4 ship captains we've seen so far are black. Morpheus, Thedeus and Niobe. Plus you have Link, Dozer and Tank who were all black. Again, I'm not a racist, just observing

I didn't catch the part when they said about Tank. How did he die anyway? I know that Link was sent in to replace him.
