well he wasn't dead last movie IIRC. My guess is that he didn't want or couldn't sign on to the next movie for whatever the hell reason, so they killed off is character even though he survived. Story wise, I'd say he died in another untold mission or he bled to death/was killed by sentinels at the end of the first movie.

IIRC, the guy (I don't remember his name) and Warner Brothers got into a heated argument over his contract for the second film that resulted in him being escorted off the lot.  He has since admitted to breaking into the studio and stealing food off of the "The Matrix Reloaded" set.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

There are only 4 main 'races' in humanity:

Caucasian 'white': which includes darker skinned people like in the Middle East, North Africa and even India (iirc). The lighter skinned type lives mainly in Europe, America, Australia and there's a bit of an offshoot around the Transsiberian Railway.
Negroide: These are mainly people from Subsaharan Africa, but there also live significant populations in America (North and South) and they used to be the main population in Australia until the Europeans came.
Mongoloide: These are asian people like we find in China, Japan, South East Asia and on the siberian Steppes. They can also be found in the High North of the American continent
Native American: the group that used to be dominant on the American Continent until the Europeans came.
Arabic (Semite) peoples are considered 'white' just like latins.

Not that it matters much in the end since all types are inter-compatible and as such there's only one species of human, one race.

Anyway: maybe the difference between populations in the Matrix (black outside, white inside) is another of those colour-tricks? Like the Matrix having this green glow everywhere while, I heard, the real world is blue-ish.
It came from outer space! What? Dunno, but it's going back on the next flight!

thats not even close to being funny.  that says alot about you

my question is, why is the fact that most of the captains shown in the movie black even an issue?  on a subconcious level does it bother you in some way?  i bet when you saw the first one you werent saying 'hey morpheus is the only black guy in the movie, where are the rest of them?  we need some more black people in this movie'

The Matrix is set in the future, right? Well, humans aren't going to have gotten any whiter, are they? Given enough time, white people will have disappeared entirely.

As i've said, this is merely an observation. These days, you can even state a fact without it being politically incorrect. Thats like saying, "my skin is a whiter hue than his". Its not an insult, just a fact. It doesnt bother me at all (the movie) its was just an observation. jeez, when will people lighten up. Maybe you're on of those people who says "Happy seasonal religion non-specific time a festive joy" instead of merry christamas... dont even knowhow I got to the point of having to justify myself to everyone who throws some stupid ass comment out and tries to find the bogeyman in every sentence.

Now that was cool. The philosophy didn't bother me at all, and the Freespacish Revelation (the thing about 6 Ones and 6 Zions) was ubercool.

Only thing that bothered me, was the stupid way they introduced 5 (count 'em) new characters, just to show off 25 minutes of more action. I, of course mean the Merovingian/Keymaker part. They could have done that more subtly.

Overall, that was fricckin' llamaing' great!

I just watched all the FMV's in Enter the Matrix and got a little hint of something I didn't pick up first time around... When the Oracle speaks to Ghost, she:
Spoiler:
mentions to him that two programs she trusted sold her deletion code of her old body. But she accepted it because they did it for their CHILD! And she goes on to say that this child is very important! Well, I guess I can connect the child to being Neo, but who then are the parents?!!

And PVC Catsuit...Niiice...

actually, just like for the Osiris and the young guy that sticks to Neo at the begining and seems like a pain to him, this is most likely exlained in animatrix. well the osiris stuff is, that's for sure.
about the merovingien, is that french insults thing in the US version too? the guy sure has knowledge :D
Oh, Moss IS hot. being over 30 is not a beauty factor, even being "wrinkly" isn't. She certainly is attractive in many ways. to me, much more than the blonde babe that have that "cake orgasm" :p
the sex scene: yeah, I think it was too long ( but maybe it's because I didn't like the music ), but it shows that the city isn't all "bright", it fees kindda "stone age" in that scene.
how, and about "too many nipples" and "disgusting", gives me a break you fakers
the guy in the end is the guy "infested" by Smith. can't you even recognize a face? :doubt: ( side note, that is SO obviously a cameo for ghost hacking from Ghost In The Shell :p )
and finally, you all think too much about that matrix stuff :p seeing matrix is inspired greatly from GITS, well, I probably guess how it's gonna turn out :p

anyway, I heard so many comments about the movie before seeing it, I knew what to expect and what not to expect, it'sactually been a good thing for once, since I haven't been disapointed ( I knew what I'd have ).
how, and the "planed trilogy" thing is ****, they didn't plan to make 2 other movies when doing the first one. that's all marketing stuff.

The Wachowskis probably had the ideas for the second two films, but like Starwars they hadn't even planned on making them until the Matrix had such massive sucess

I have a few ENTER THE MATRIX questions:

Does it have Multiplayer?
Is there a DEMO available?
i heard that some people say the game sucks and its only worth buying it because of the film sequences. Is that really true?
While playing, do you really experience that feeling they said you should have like: Intense combat, braking rules, dodging, bullet time...

One more thing, The french guy. when he swore, I didn't understand a thing but I really laughed. I think he is the 3rd coolest person in that film, well in my opinion.

Anyway here is the list:

1st place: Agent Smith

2nd place Mr Anderson

3rd place The French guy

Well, to put it simply, Enter the Matrix is Max Payne with kung Fu. With a weaker aiming system while shooting, but the kung fu more than makes up for it. You get to do mostly everything you see in the first movie, so its all there. Bullet time, wall running, jumping really far, dodging bullet (not neo style unfortunately) basically everything. Even fighting multiple swat guys, kicking two at the same time, grabbing a gun from one, killing him then using the gun on a second guy and finally jumping onto the wall to land a spin kick into third guys head, breaking his neck. Then theres the driving/shooting stuff which is fun. Its a fun game. Not THE best, but a hell of a console title, if not with some bugs for the pc.
I have returned... Again...

I was sort of disapointed with the bullet time thing.  I wanted to be able to bend my character around and stuff to dodge bullets like on the movie, but you only get to run or jump out of their way :doubt:

well that wouldn't be good because only Neo and Agents are supposed to be able to move that fast.

oh and about ETM, anyone else notice how the driving levels are total ****? :blah:
