My monitor is kinda screwed up right now.  how it got screwed up is sort of a long story but basically everything's too dark even on maximum contrast and brightness.  does anyone know where i can get some software to adjust the colors?

What graphics card do you have? The nVidia Detonator drivers should come with nView which includes adjustment software...

...that said, try fixing the monitor? :)

I've got an nVidia Ti4600:nod:
the way it got messed up was i got a new monitor that came with some software for adjusting color, brightness, etc...
however the monitor's color's were washed out so i used the software to make the colors darker.  the colors were still too light so i took the new monitor back, hooked up my old one, and uninstalled the software thinking the changes would go away.  but they didn't, so now my monitor is too dark and i sent the software back with the monitor.

In that case a format might do the trick - or it could've changed the options I was talking about changing using nView... if you can, have a poke about and see what you can dig up?

If you know it's the monitor, it's probably a power issue- there's not enough of it going to the right places. You could try cracking it open and correcting, or you could get a new monitor.

it's not the monitor.  it's software affecting the monitor, and now that i no longer have that software i was hoping someone might know of a different program i could use.
It's not a hardware issue

Eh? Funky.

You can probably get a reinstall of the monitor driver from the corporate website, ya know?
