Just in case you missed a warning on Microsoft's Knowledge Base last week, be aware that its Internet Connection Firewall and its Basic Firewall do not block Internet Protocol Version 6 traffic.

As if that cheezy thing they called a firewall did anything anyways.  It didn't even regulate outgoing traffic for crying out loud!  Anyone that actually thinks it is a good firewall is a frelling moron. :p

Sorry for bringing up the old thread, but I got a problem. I was unable to automatically install the updates, so I went to manual update but right now I am confused which operating system to choose. I have Windows XP Home Edition but it is not lited in the list. What i got there is:
Windows XP 64bit  edition
Windows XP 64bit  edition RTM
Windows XP 64bit  edition sp1
Windows XP 64bit  edition Version 2003
Windows XP RTM
Windows XP SP1

Which one of these is Home Edition? Please help. I really need those critical updates.

None of those are Home Edition exactly but if I had to take a stab I'd say to choose one of the last two (based on whether or not you have SP1 installed) as it's highly unlikely you're running one of the 64 bit variants.

Seriously though, have you tried using the Windows Update links in Internet Explorers Tools menu and the Windows Start Menu?
