No, the top one is curved while the second HUD is all straight lines.

The second one looks like you did some work, the first one looks like you straitened the straight bit of the FS2 HUD (notice mine's hardly changed there? Im lazy!).

no... they're just called projectile weapons arn't they... at least on fighters, caps like the heavy cruiser and destroyers have railguns

Theyre all based on the same mass-driver principle, just the fighters are smaller, rapid fire versions.
