here's the problem: when i add a new weapon to the weapons.tbl the game runs but crashes if i select weapons in the tech-database. all is correct, if i undo all modifications the game continues to crash there. the only solution i found is to reinstall the game  
after reinstall the new weapon works good.
anyone has the same problem?
(ah, weapons.tbl is under the 380k limit)

btw: i'm new here, i work to the starwars conversion with KARMA and CmdKewin. so... HI ALL!

Once you have made the modification, start the game, and create a new pilot. If you try to play with the old one, the weapons tech database crashes, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

I have the same problem with one of my tables, but the problem seems to occur for any pilot (regardless of which tables when creating the pilot) for some reason.

yea the trick of creating a new pilot works, it doesn't crash now ...but the new weapons are not there  
uhm.. one reinstall for every weapon... WEIRD!
