And deserving of every single percentage of it. It was really that damn good. Voices, animation, modelling, direction, staging--its the best CG I've ever seen, bar none. It made everything else look shoddy, by comparison.

The preview for the next Pixar flick about an over the hill superhero looks pretty damn good too.

Pixar did it again.

Loved it :D
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Er... when it says 'comedy', does it mean comedy like Toy Story/Bug's Life etc, ie. voiced over by the likes of Tom Hanks or Billy Crystal?

Not true, it doesn't beat Final Fantasy: TSW, not by a long shot. Nor does it make FF:TSW look shoddy.

Keeping in mind that I thought that the animation in FF was brilliant, I have to respectfully disagree with you.

At no point in FF was there a moment where I could go "whoa... I could be right there..." For all its cartoony silliness, the realism of the water effects in Finding Nemo made everything in FF look like... well, computer animation.

mmh, I thought the landing of the transport, at the begining, looked more real than real, in FF.
besides, it's FAR easier to make a cartoonish render than a photorealistic one.
comparing those too is a bad idea, and as far as I know, Pixar never did photorealistic scenes.
all in all, tech-wise, FF remains state of the art CGI. I missed the flight of the osiris ' it aired on TV last week ), but that one would have been a good basis for comparison ( tho osiris would probably have the edge, being 6 minutes long, they probably could overdo details ).

Yeah i mean, water totally makes a cartoon look more realistic than CG where its hard to tell whethers its real or not.

Hmm.

Zeronet, the problem with FF is that it looks like CG. The pic you posted is a still, not the animation they used in the move. The animation  was rather stilted in some places (though in some places it was really good. Mostly long shots).  I'm not saying it wasn't gorgeous, or that it wasn't incredible. Venom gave a great example of some of the better stuff in the movie.

On the other hand, Nemo is cartoony and silly, yes, but the animation quality is top notch all the way through. Is it realistic? No, not at all (except in the water effects, which I've already mentioned).

You're entitled to your opinion, I just disagree with you on aesthetic and technical grounds.
