A bit of feedback.....

The DOTA staff is lazy when it comes to feedback, and I do want to hear the oppinion of larger masses, so....

NO1:
This is a basic design for a piraate warship.
Size, class and weapons are still not known...
The textures are basic ones, but it's just to get the feel of the ship..

Need feedback on this one:
- proposed stats
- which wing type is better (or maby a whole different style?)
- where to put the engines? green, blue or red? Or green&blue?

use the larger wing with the indention in it, and put the engines on red green and blue

When I first saw the top right corner of this post I wondered for a split second who was posting a picture of my own Styx class corvette.



Given the similarities from the front and behind I can hardly say I hate it now can I?

As for the second ship why not make them all thrusters with the big one in the middle larger than the surrounding 4?

For the fighter, take the fancier wing (the one with the bit sticking forward), but cut a hole in it so it's basically a frame. Not much good for atmospheric flying, but it'd look cool for a space fighter. As for your engines, do what the sniper dude said - stick a biggun in the middle, with smaller ones around the outside

Be careful with the concept of a Pirate Warship. In TI, pirates play a major role, and the heaviest ships they have are only about 80m long, and have only 7 turrets, though we are planning some small strike carriers. Basically, you have to remember that pirates aren't just convenient random enemies for the GTVA to fight while you're trying to work the main baddies into it. They're in it for the money. A warship would be...inconvenient. They'd be constantly blowing up the freighter they were trying to capture.

Fighter looks interesting though.

I am thinking of that..
Pirates have biggers ship, but nothing bigger than a corvette..
Mostly fighter/bombers and assault transports.
Now the pirates have help, that's why they can build cruisers and alike... from whom..I cannot tell........

I'd name it something else personally. The GTVA (particularly the GTA) would be more likely to name it in the tradition of Greek/Roman/Norse Mythos and not something blunt (for lack of a better word) like Dagger. I'd use those kind of words for pirate ships or missles, not military fighters.

And I do have the Clayymore
And perhaps the Razor...

I'm still trying to figure out just waht to add..
And the engies have detail.. you can't quite see that becoause of the crappy texture...

Well whatever. I'm, just saying, it's alright ot have a ship named dagger or razor, it just sounds really unprofessional on a GTA fighter that usually would use a more elagant name like in the games.

Just keep in mind, you're the one that asked for suggestions.
