That only works with a fanbase that knows how to do FreeSpace modding :p  All the people who know how to do stuff now are already involved in as many projects as they can handle... so... :sigh:

How? I don't mean to sound ambiguous or even caustic, but how can we help? I'm sure there are a lot of us who want to help, or wish that this project goes well, but someone has already mentioned the truism that most of the modders are already stretched into other projects.

While I'd personally love to help, as my summer is hitting a lull, I can't see myself as anything more as a proof-reader (and I actually really do hate spelling and grammical errors in campaigns... like... "necissary".)

In any case, good luck! It sounds uber cool. What I'm curious, though, is how will you pull off the dialogue? Are we assuming that communications can be "adapted" to perfect English, or are you going to try something ambitious like whittle the syntax down in the dialogue?

I haven't played it yet myself since I released it, and haven't edited any files, so it should still work. So, here's the link:

Btw, I just played it again, just make sure you don't go to ship loadout or it'll crash... And I noticed how bland all the mission briefings and all were, I remember I had to do that, to keep the story away from you guys :p

Actually, all I need done as a minimum is 2 ships... A capital ship(heh, if you can call it that :p ) and a fighter. More shivan ships would be nice though, if someone wants to volunteer some of their models over... :p

Update!!

Venom still had some of the old project files, including 9 missions and a lot of essential files! Excellent! The missions are of course not polished, but still.

I'm still going to need the staff... mostly FREDers now... If I can leech some stuff off Woomeister I probably won't even need any modellers or texturers.

You're mistaken Snipes... on a few things. The campaign was in the works for I'd say 4-5 months or a little more. The banner I was using on the site was a slight edit from a picture that Dark had made. You are obviously thinking of another project.
