I like it. But what are those 2 extra fin things on the under side. I don't think they belong there.

Looks very promising so far. Check your second concept pic. See how the outer edge of each engine has a sort of "thing"? I think that would go great on your surrect model, it would really fit well.

Looks good. but the front is a biiit too narrow, I guess. It looks basically like a triangle. Maybe give it some squarer areas out front.

You mean the smaller box sticking out of the larger box?

That's easy to put in... Texuring them to look like they belong is hard.

Just incase you didn't know, I'm not making it into a bomber, I'm going for Pyro's idea of a Hella-fast™ fighter, with *gasp* no secondary banks. (Possibly creating a variant with a small one as an upgrade for later...)

anti-aliasing is goood. you want to use the anti-aliasing...

anyhow...I agree with the comment about the back fins. They just look plain odd (esp. from the rear perspective)

Those were screenshots, not renders...

I'll revert to my older model then, if noone likes this one. (I thought it looked like a wasp... Kinda.)

Yeah, I think thats it. I see it as a big box with a smaller box taken out of it, and the whole thing jammed into the main hull..uhm I think we mean the same thing.

That is one of the main this that characterizes the "Zeus look". If you're going for a Zeus MK2, definatly put those in. If, however, you're going for a fast fighter, try experimenting a bit to see what you can put along the outer edge of the engines to spice them up a bit, but also vary from the Zeus-ian "thing"

Ok, I am no good at explaning things, but I hope you get the idea:nod:

Ok, I think I get you. You like the engine outlets (Which I already added about 2 hours ago). And you think I should texture it like the zeus (which Iwanna do, those brown panels rawk) but don't make it too much like the zeus. Keep off the pegesi from the engines, and try to keep the feel of FS1. Am i right?

Analazon: It is. So is
chocolate but I'd rather not use that one...

The textures need alot of work. I'm still learning with these.

add another line bout half way through the window texture and take it up on the z-axis a teensy bit, and it would look much better. Also, lower the current cockpit top by a little bit on the z-axis.

strangely enough, I've been looking at a lot of cockpits recently because most of mine suck...

Looks MUCH better now, but I still think you should widen the nose juuuust a bit ;)

Sweet-as, Raa Tor'h!

I'd agree with UT and Analazon, though - make the nose slightly wider, and smooth the cockpit down a bit - perhaps just have the back panel of the cockpit stretched back a bit (maybe halfway towards where the engines start).

VERY cool, though. When you're done, I want this!:yes:

Uhm, is that even the same ship. If not, I like the earlier one much better. This one is much to wide. It looks like you made a nice ship, and then sat on it:D :D

Good work, all in all. Stick with the earlier version..

It is the same ship. I only squashed the cocpit, and enlarged the nose/guns. About it being too wide, compressing it is not a problem. It'd take 2 minutes, tops.

doesn't look any different.
What I was sggesting was widening, not enlarging the nose. Doesn't look like you did that. at least not big enough :D ;)

Ok, here's what I've done to it recently. I widened the nose, and thinned out the back. It looks a bit better, I guess...

Noone has a comment on this version? It doesn't look more freespacey, less freespacey? Bah! That's what I get for letting people tell me what they think should be done...:blah:

looks good!  I couldn't talk you into letting ITHOV use it, could I?  And the only thing I would change is the guns.  They need to be less triangular, and more straight, either tubular or rectangular.  Oh, and put some textures on those poor naked bits:p
