Head over to Totally Resident Evil at http://www.totallyre.com/forums and see what nastiness is abound! Pay particular attention to the flame forum.

I hardly go there any more! HLP is FAR friendlier! :)

Ooh, we're gonna compare HLP to everywhere in the universe now?

Well, it's better than Canada, but not quite as good as Switzerland or the day side of Mercury... it's rather a lot like Winston Churchill's pants, actually, only without the beer smell or the pubic hairs...

To the same extent as everyone else. Which was kinda the point. Unless you'd care to explain what makes "Totally Resident Evil" a lot like this board...

Besides, it is like inside Winston Churchill's pants.

Well, I guess we're kind of mature.  Hell, the Andromeda Forum is just a mess of name calling and stupidness.  I kind of like this place friendly in a nice sort of way.

No kidding, I just took a peek - this place is like a kid's playground in comparison.

I was thinking (watch out everyone!), why does it seem that the 'new game' forums are mean while 'old game' forums (like HLP) are friendlier? I think it may be because no one is going out to get FS2 like they would for FreeLancer or something :doubt:.
I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

Well, after VBB was closed we're quite lucky to have a site like HLP as a central meeting place for all FS'ers (not to understate VWBB's efforts - not at all). This really is a luxury (oh, good work all admins involved, now and then  )

Why do we still like the thing after all these long years? ..one really needs to search his/her heart to find an answer to that one.

Boy, I am just starting to LOVE HLP lately. I've tried branching out into other communities lately (America's Army (again), Unreal Tournament, etc) and NONE of them have the maturity level shown here at HLP. Seriously, most are either over-moderated or completely devoid of intelligence!
Now, see, at HLP, we have people doing other people favors. I can put a thread out, asking fooor, say, the latest stats on baseball. And you know what? Someone will give them to me, eventually! Isn't that amazing!? On other forums, nooooo, I ask something, and it's SUCH A ****ING CHORE to do it!

Hell, I guess you REALLY have to be dedicated to play a game like Freespace 2 still, and it's lucky for us that most of that dedication comes into play in every other aspect of HLP.

I just bought HL and I'm regretting it already. The game is good no doubt about it. But the community is childish, n00bish, immature, stupid, inconsiderate and above all moronic. Did I mention it was childish and immature?

*Note: Thos does not go for all players but the most of them should have the above characteristics written on their forheads.

[color=66ff00]You guys are on the wrong servers. I frequent a lot of servers that are just plain fun to play on due to the fact that nobody really takes the game too seriously. Unfortunately they're based in the UK/France so it's not so handy for you woolie.

Anyhow, on topic; HLP kicks arse! :D

As far as AA goes if you joing smaller games IE 4-6 player games it is actually quite fun becuase the people that start these games are serious.
