You can probably guess from the title, where in the UK can I find a cheap (decent) Wacom drawing pad?

Obviously I can't help you in the UK ,...but I've seen them (the Graphire 2s) on Ebay listed as NIB starting around $5-$10.

Locally though I've only found them for $99

I was going to say Ebay too.  it's always the best way to find stuff.  99% of my electronics (speakers, amps, lights, parts for my car, CD players/burners, computer stuff, etc.) i get off Ebay.  the only electric thing i've bought in a while without using Ebay was a walkie-talking FMS thing, so that i can listen at school to what's going on (all the administrators of the 6000+ student school carry walkie-talkie things, and they have codes for everything and such...)

so basically you're spying on Big Brother at your school.  Do they have cameras at you school? At my High school they have cameras in every hallway. A friend of mine took the cover off of one (there the dome kind) and got suspended for a day! Sorry for the OT-ness of this post
EDIT: btw, I've used one of those Wacom tablet things and they're crap

You'll never find a quality brand-new tablet for very cheap. Online auctions are your best bet. See if you can find a graphics company that's liquidating, they're the most reliable (ie. in comparison to individuals).

Bingo. Wacom is the top rated brand at the moment ,..and their Graphire line is pretty affordable (compared to the  Intuos which is several $100 )

But over all make sure you get one with the highest pressure settings you can get,...I think 512 is about the highest 'average'.

yeah they've got cameras everywhere, but how're they going to catch one person with a 4 inch tall FMS (sp?) radio.

computer mice, are **** for high-end graphic artwork... they're good for the odd airbrush work.. Like i use for foxfire, but as the story and scenery progresses.. i'll use a wacom tablet to draw in the scenery

No, I wasn't drawing with the mouse. I was just using it to click things and the mouse was crap
