The only question I have is if anyone can find any solid 3rd-party reviews or whatever debunking or confirming this. The theortical idea is quite intriguing, I must say... :p

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

My boss started telling me about it, with the intent of finding out if I thought it was possible in the slightest. I don't think he got it via spam, though.

well if you got a big freaking lens I supose it's posable, the fact that there is no trade off at all for this, no rick, nothing to lose but the small amount of monie you give to them, the fact that the name of the company/product is laserX!!!1!!!, and the fact that running the name laserx and prjection through google provided nothing (literaly), and I can't find there ebook on kaza all lead me to the conclusion that this is a crock of crap, and someone some were got the link to this site through spam

you cannot enlarge a pixellated image without comensurate loss of visual quality. For this to look good in any way, you would have to sit far far back from the screen. Besides: you can't get a decent flat lens the size of a television for less than $100, let alone for less than $20.

Its a scam.
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

[color=66ff00]Looked into this a while back because it seemed reasonably doable BUT! (and it is a big but)

1. The image only comes out as bright as the TV screen's output, people who have built this say you have to use it in a very dark room top see the picture.

2. The lens inverts the image. This means that unless you use another lens in conjunction with the main lens you have to put your TV upside down (unless you can watch whilst standing on your head). From what I've read most TV monitors have a problem being placed upside down.

3.  That site is remarkably misleading.

Construction is all pretty similar no matter what the claims of it's capabilities are: Plans

i have a friend that got one of these, years ago... it sucks.  it's not even close to worth the money for two reasons:  first, it has to be completely dark to even see an image... if there's light, you see next to nothing.  also, it loses quality big time

100-inches?

I couldn't even project 1/10th of my massive man-hood.

What good is that?

Man, I'm bored.

you know, you seem obsessed with penises.

it's very unusual for (regular) males to be obsessed with penises.  you say you've got a 1000 inch penis (:wtf:), you have a link to a penis in your signiture (which you've sized)...

:wtf: :doubt:

Yeah, 2 references to a penis. ****, I must be gayer than Elton John.

As Ghandi once put it: Stealth, go **** yourself.
