Maybe it could be a light destroyer, designed to quickly get into and out of combat situations while still supplying destroyer firepower (5 LReds!, one on each arm, and one on each side)

Advantages: Good ammount of fighter and capship levelling power, high speed and manuverability, good armor protection.

Disadvantages (you've gotta have em): Small fighter bay, long charge-up time on subspace drive?

Okay, I've made my decision. It's going to be a light corvette, armed for anti-fighter duties. That means lots of flak, AAA, and missile launchers. The main weapons will be three SReds, giving it the same firepower as a Rakshasa or Moloch, but the anti-fighter defenses will be akin to a scaled-up Aeolus.

Cool  The shivans could do with a specialised anti-fighter vessel. It could be deployed on mop up and in support of assults upon carriers and destroyers.

As for a fighterbay, it could have a small one for carrying say three wings of fighters for disabling enemy beam cannons and tackling enemy bombers. Perhaps a few lucky ones could have their bay modified to carry they Vyndichal's :drevil:

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. i think it looks too small for a destroyer, make it's "ass" taller.

O the horror of it all... So when will be able to unleash this engine of destruction upon the GTVA? In R2???

BTW to all modlers, in the future I think it would be neat for any ship that has a fighterbay (especially or larger ships) to have an extensive entry or bay size in the interior that you can fly into and manuever around in, instead of just a token small recessed area that simply has a subsystem spot for fightebay to show up in the target box. The Raynor comes to mind (love that bay!)
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

I've started texturing the thing.

And Sandwich... I'll have that installation as soon as someone tells me how to make live debris.

Dunno. I'll give it to TI, certainly, but I think the General Public will have to live with screenshots.

Phew :) I was kind of worrying about that.

For those who don't know (probably most of you) it's TI policy to use only original mods. So if this had been publically released, we would have had to create an internal alternative.

If only TI is going to get it, do you want this topic moved to fs modding or closed? since I don't see the point of it being here then.
