an artist can't be and must not be preshured by people who are constantly telling him how he should draw or sketch his/hers art.

An artist has an imagination bigger than a common man, and they must use it as they see fit. As Turnsky says if someone pushes him to draw pics then it often comes blank or in other words not the way the aritst has imagined it would be.

an artist that would live from it can't think that way, you know. that's not the case here, but the fact remeains true.

'Payroll artists'. Sad reality, perhaps why art should always remain a hobby for its proper expression. But who defines what is proper? Perhaps natural expression, then.

(I was reminded of it by the concept of 'payroll historians', who construct misconstrued histories according to the purposes of the hand that fed them. Sad but necessary for their living.)

Oh, hey, I was thinking about my character.

I basically wanted the idea of an all-seeing character, bathed in light. Basically Asian in appearance (black hair, dark brown eyes), short hair. Whaddya think you can do with that?

Damn wish i had seen this earlier, got some wicked wings drawn up to use (actually for a college project but would be ideal for this, and WTF happened to my sword, it became small fat and .... well bent.

Hey look, it's me again.

I think I see what Setekh means, though (he and I did the same history course which went over this). In a dream world (not even close to possible), 'free art' shouldn't be infringed upon by the necessities of economic pragmatism. It limits the expression. But you're right, Venom, in this world I think I'd prefer having lots of movies.

no.. he didn't.. he described and i drew..

me.. well, i don't get paid for it, so i do it on a whim...
