do not torment the sleep deprived artist, he may be vicious when cornered,
in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,
he will become docile after that,
and less likely to stab you in the eye with a mechanical pencil

UPDATE:Ignore the 'runes' bordering the page, they're for another project ;)..

this is just a concept, i realise i've screwed up some of the proportioning, but i was concentrating more on the design of the armor itself more than anything else..

hence.. why i think that i did a **** job on this sketch :p

Well, I think it quite good actually, kinda reminds me of a Space Marine in power armour (40k), with the extra wide shin sections.

Little vague around the left arm, but after all, it is just a sketch.

overall::yes:  Heck your very good all round. maybe you'll be the next Leonardo Di Vica ;)

im not sure the square helm of the knight totally fits in with the rounded contours of the rest of his armour.

and: what problems with proportion? its a sketch, its supposed to be rough...

But sometimes its just purely annoying to be your own worst critic :p I had that last time with FRED, I forced myself to redo the mission 6 times before I was satisfied. Worked friggin' 2 weeks on a single mission :hopping:

The longer I spend on a render, the more satisfied I am at the end. That's pretty important to me - it's worth paying the time for, I think. Well, you grow into it. ;)

Beautiful and a half, man. But seeing as you are rapidly advancing with the quality of your art, I'm going to poke a hole in it - for your own good. ;) Okay, let's check out the foreground. That's a few blades of grass, out of focus; right. Then there's you, and you're in focus; right. Then the next layer of grass, out of focus. Bing! Depth of field is limited already, between the first and second layers of grass. The moon is out of focus, that's consistent. But your starfield, beautiful as it is, is crystal clear. It really is very nice but the moon especially looks terribly out of place blurred like that. I know you can do better. :)

Of course, you know I mean you well. :D:yes:

i've made the moon look better, i've only blurred it slightly so the edges aren't sharp..

note: have you ever noticed that stars, and planetary bodies are usually in focus (in most shot's that i've seen.. ) ;)

Most shots with nice starscapes are taken with infinite depth of field, so the stars will come out. :) Anyway, as for planetary bodies being in focus - that's exactly what I meant. The moon should be in focus. It's much better now. ;)
