Congratulations! The closest I get to this kind of stuff is Colin Mcrae Rally, and even then I only get round the course by the law of averages ;)

Heh, closest I come to rallying is taking my little car round corners too fast, and fishtailing on the roads a bit.

Tis fun, though...

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

She was the driver. She was a bit exhausted after 10 hours on the road... I guess I was just still wired from the win. :)

Max, you are my hero.  Not for anything you do in FS or have done.  But for this little bit of news... Rally is so grueling that it takes a certain character to do it.  Congrats on your win!

Btw, where do you pee while you race?  Just curious :D

Probably in a ditch or some convenient spot.

I can't believe a Mustang's speedo only goes up to 120 !
my pesky little euro-box, shoppin' Trolly, Seat 1.6 (75bhp!) had the same "top speed" ! ( it was a little optomistic though)

my escort's :nervous: speedometer (im not calling it a "speedo") goes to 120. i've had it to 105mph. the tires are rated for 110...

That also looks like a V6 'stang which may be understandable.  My friend had his dad's '01 GT up to 140. it could have gone faster easily

Yes, Otakon was fun...

where do I pee? Well near the end we were actually 20 mins AHEAD of schedule so we stopped at sheetz. :) We were shooting for an exact time (which we had to calculate as we drove from clues!)

And yes, its a V6 mustang. My stang goes up to 150 on the speedometer. I personally know it goes about 135 for sure ;)

"Euro-box"? Does that mean that it has a speedometer in KpH, whereas the Mustang pictured had it in MpH? ;)
