Show us where you live.
It's late, I'm bored, it's a long time since we had one of these, and I've found a pic that sums up my home town very well.

Note the pathetic Christmas decorations, the patchy road, and the general squalor. This was taken Christmas 1999, I do believe.
It was on some Tripod site, so I've taken the liberty of liberating it.

This is why I spend so much time online, that's the alternative.

By God that's grim. Look at the face of that woman in the bottom left if you need further proof. Here's my gaff in deepest darkest Leicestershire:

Those curtains have not been opened in over 18 months

Insure them. You need to find some way to make financial gain from them.

Also, what's the idea of those white blocks?

Pidgeon traps

See that bush in front of the window? That's the one that we chopped down and burned, if anyone remembers the videos. The evil bastard's grown back now.

I've seen better pigeon traps. Those 6-inch spike things you can get.

I do remember that video, you should have a repeat performance.

Hell, I've found some photos that I took shortly after getting the camera. They make the town look slightly less grim, but not much.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

If you keep clicking the thumbnails, you can view what it looks like now without it changing. Our Town Centre is having, millions spent on it, to make it look good, especially Bridge Street. Sadly, skateboarding is banned, because what they've done is so perfect for skateboarding.

Oh no, the girl didn't (shame) but Tank Girl did. It's creators were a couple of guys who lived on the far side of town.

I live in Kidderminster which is/was the carpet capital of the worls, and if that isn't something to be proud of, well then I don't know what is. However, everything around here is registered as green belt so it's only a five minute walk to some of the most beautiful countryside I know, plus, there are trees. THE TREES, they are EVERYWHERE.

Et Voila

and also, the ugliest building ever created.

Tried to find pictures of the forest up the road but could only find this:
