OK, just in case any one was worried that I'd died I thought I'd relate to you the events of Tuesday night. I got obscenely drunk and tipped a pint of water in to the open side of my tower. The computer will not now switch on, so methinks I'm looking at a new mobo or summat... so there you go. Hopefully I'll be back up in a few days...

Oh, and prior to breaking the computer I got rugby tackled on to the edge of the bottom stair, and now my back's so FUBARed that I'm off work. Thus how I'm going to pay for these replacement bits is beyond me...

Now, who's comming to the pub?

I'm suprised no-one else has brought this up but in my book, obscenely drunk does not make me jump for joy at pouring water into an electrical device, let alone my beloved computer.

It was that Davey boy wasn't it. are you being bullied in school. If so tell me or I shall have to come to the school myself and neither of us want that let me assure you.

Its quite odd that I was drinking on Tuesday night. I do not remember anything of vivid detail, but I know Wednesday morning in the uni office was not fun.

Yup...apparently hangovers are caused by the massive amounts of alchohaul still in your system essentially causing dehydration.  So drink water...but it'll need to be lots.

It doesn't work. You have to drink the water after each drink of alcohol for it to really work.

Yeah, as in about 4/5 pints. Depends how blasted you get, and what you're drinking. If you're drinking beer, then you wouldn't need as much as if you'd been drinking Jack Daniel's all night.

I know about the water trick. according to the "experts" (yes, we actually have lectures on drinking at my uni), it works if you drink a lot just before you go to bed. however, I don't really get hungover as in headache (that is caused by dehydration. I get headaches when I'm dehydrated because of heat etc though). today I had some throatache tho. nothing some water and a couple of mints couldn't cure.

but I wonder why my leg still hurts.

you know one way to prevent getting drunk/hung over is to drink milk vefore you drink, or eat lot's of brwon bread.

also, if tyou take a small drink in the morning i hear you prevent getting hung over all to bad.
