Ok, there were some nifty things early on, but it gets cool when the plot starts to move. It's hard to give say without spoiling a lot of the story.
Basically, Pacifica, the Scrapped Princess is the 'poison that will destroy the world' when she turns 16. Supposedly killed at birth, she was instead saved and raised by a familly that gave her a name - the Casulls. (as a note, every important character has a gun name) Eventually this is found out and they have to start running away. This is basically where the anime itself starts. Soon, they start encountering entities called 'Peacemakers' which are apparently the servants of the god Mauser (see? gun name) who attempt to have Pacifica killed, they can mind control people, but for some reason cannot directly attack her. At about this time they also make contact with a sort-of spirit entity that calls herself Zephiris who helps them - in a couple episodes she helps them take on and kill a Peacemaker. They keep fleeing and once they get to the Kingdom of Giat things start to fall into place and the plot accelerates.
And Mik, if you're complaining about the time to download one episode, just don't bother. You'll have to get a ways into it for things to actually get good. But then it's like crack and you want the rest.
Anyhow, if someone
does want it, I can supply episodes. I've also got LastEXILE, which is another one I've recently watched, gave that high marks as well.
