from another forum:

"As revealed in TV Guide, AICN, SaveFarscape.com et alia...

Sets have been rebuilt and time in the studio has been purchased for the next several months to film 'at least' several more episodes of the show. This was confirmed by cast member Raelee Hill. There was a big press conference scheduled for today, but it was postponed until early next week, so no details on how, where, when, what, or by whom. Still... the news is unmistakeable. Farscape Isn't Dead, it was just sleeping.

There's no smily to give my true feelings right now. "

Even though I've never seen the series, I've heard of it's goodness, and the royal ending screwup, and knowing that any series that has an episode titled "We're so screwed, Part I" has got to be good, I salute them!

What happened to the ending that was so bad?

BTW, I got tired of this halfway into the series:

1) "Has John Crighton finally found Earth?"

2) "No"

1) "Has John Crighton finally found Earth?"

2)"No"

1) "Hello."

2) "Hi"

1) "Has John Crighton finally found Earth?"

2) "Damnit!"

Anyways, it was a good series, just got into the repetitive storline cycle (TM)

I always said Farscape would be back. Jim Henson productions said that it was their flagship product so I doubted they'd let it just die. They said they were looking to make a movie but I'm even more glad if they decide to make a series because it will mean they don't have to cut the originality just to allow a wider audience to understand it despite never having seen any of the episodes.

For those who haven't seen Farscape it is yet another sci-fi series that doesn't press the reset button at the end of every episode. In fact it sometimes goes further than B5 and Stargate in this respect. For instance in one episode the main character gets cloned. While most series would have killed him off by the end of the episode Farscape kept them both around for half a series!

UT you should have kept watching. He found Earth and then found out that simply finding Earth wasn't enough. Besides if you found Farscape repeatative you must have dispised voyager (are we there yet!) Andromeda (have we restored the commonwealth yet!) B5 (have we defeated the ancient evil that is slowly building it's force up again after a thousend years yet!) and just about every single other Sci-fi series.

I just got tired of Farscape, because line #1 was in almost half the previews. But the characters were ok, the action was ok, and when the thing got it's storyline going, they were great. And what do you mean he found Earth, but it wasn't enough?

B5 had a bunch of good character interaction, to balance out the mix of repetitive storylines (which were different enough to warrant watching, as well).

Voyager: Meh, it was ok. I only saw a couple episodes with it's run on UPN, so I never saw the repetetiveness.

Andromeda: I thought that was actually pretty good! I came in late to the series, when everything was happening, so I didn't have to watch the repetetiveness.

[color=66ff00]Farscape is simply the most engaging show I've seen in years. The attention to detail was staggering and the characters were 'people' not just 2 dimensional cliches.

Very refereshing.

I don't think he's seen beyond the first or second series, else he wouldn't have thought that all four series were all about Crichton trying to get home. 'A Human Reaction' sets in place an entirely new storyline that eventually completely takes precedence over John's intergalactic whereabouts, 'round about end of season two. Same with 'Nerve', really.

Anyway, throwing around spoilers is a real bad thing for something like Farscape. Those are deep plot revelations, man. Subtlety is your friend.

The thing with Farscape is that even if someone tells you exactly what's going on, you still have no idea.

You really have to have watched from like 10 episodes previous to understand the concepts. Like if you skipped a few of the wrong eps you could be like "I like Zahn....uh, where'd she go? And who's that guy with the mask, and why is Scorpius inside Crichton's head? And why is there a Leviathan with a gun?".

But if you watch them all (or at least the majority of them) there are lots of nice little things that make it better.

And I still think Wolf In Sheeps Clothing (I think) was fecking awesome. With Talyn and the starburst and the explosions and the "No, John. I don't think I'll be leaving the ship, even though it's exploding around me. See ya".

As for Andromeda, sure it sucked for continuity (and it REALLY did; They had Rommie crying about the destruction of the Balance of Judgement and saying "I don't wanna end up like the Pax Magallenic" a full season before they found the Pax (unless I just got a crappy showing order)). But the last ep of season 3 (I think), with Tyr basically taking over the galaxy, was pretty damn cool.

This is excellent news, but I have to say Stargate: SG-1 is still better than Farscape. Farscape was getting pretty repetitively gimmicky toward the end. I lost track of how many times a member of the crew got duplicated in some way or another.

SG-1, StarGate, B5, I've watched quite a bit of.  Farscape is definately different and more off the wall than the other two.  I like all three for diferent reasons.
