FS2. The best thing about FS1 was the atmosphere, but that was all to do with the writing and very little to do with the engine, IMHO.

Then playing the Port should make no difference.  Yet it does. Maybe the interface art helped - it was slightly less polished and more "frontier", if that makes sense.  And I prefer the old command briefing format.

Yeah, FS1 had that kinda "Cramped aboard the Galatae" feel to all the interface stuff.

And the old briefing stuff had that kinda clip-board feel to it, which made it seem more real.

With a campaign, I would suggest going for a good amount of action, but a good story. When you have a good storyline, action can help to progress through the missions.

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that I cannot texture to save my life. So I'm going back to my original idea of a no-mod campaign.
