At the rate we're going, I think we invent more words than we ban, though. Still unintelligible, but it'll take a few thousand years to really thoroughly obliterate the language, and at that point everyone'll be speaking something new and funky, anyway. Probably the language of our Martian overlords.

Meh, it's not aliens. It's simply BIG Brother... remember 1984? I think they had Newspeak version 6.0 (or was it 9.5?)...

First they edit our language, then it will be our thoughts (though police). [He was thinking the forbidden words officier! I clearly 'Heard' him think "master/Slave"]

In a nutshell - "Bite me!" (not you Carl, this is a Human non-literal phrase) Words exist fro a reason. To ban a word is insane (even teh N word, which I hear used constantly by those who should be offended the MOST? Way to take ownage guys and make it your instead of teh other way around)... Know what I mean?
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

...

In your world, everything in the Universe relates directly back to whatever deranged thought you're having at the moment, doesn't it?

they were using newspeak 7, but the 8th and final version was nearing completion.

Speaking of insults. I called my friend a juicy wanker in the middle of a game of Halo.

It took a full five minutes for play to resume.

It came out of nowhere and it was one of those situations where it kinda took a second to register what had been said for the both of us before turning to look at each other and just laughing.

I save it for special occasions, I'm trying hard to not let it become a regular swear word in case it loses its magic.

Now, the tricky bit is to get really good at flying off with those paragraph-long strings of expletives without having to stop and think partway through.

Give me a couple of drinks and a Bong and I am undoubtedly the master of tourettes-inspired streams of filth, I once managed a thirty second stream of almost completely invented (and inventive) swear words. My swearing vocabulary is huge, mostly through living on a lower class housing estate, working in a factory and generally associating with scum (though the best scum you're ever likely to meet :) ) and contrary to what your parents tell you, swearing IS big, hard(arf!) and it most definitely clever.

My swearing is pretty accomplished, which is handy since I want to join the Navy. No doubt that will improve my abilites still further.
