cant get -t32 command line flag to wrok
Hello, im a newbie to these forums, but not to fs2.....
just spent last hour or so browsing thru these forums, you ppl done some amazing stuff here.

downloaded 3.5.5 fs2 open source installed and works fine with launcher. then i found the 32 bit new 3.5.6vp downloaded and installed that.

fs2_open.exe wont let me use the -t32 flag , that the readme356 says to use, comes up with this error :

Error: Unrecogzined command line parameter -32
File:E:\Languages\Visual Studio Projects\Visual C++\fs2_open\code\Cmdline\cmdline.cpp
Line: 540

Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
    kernel32.dll 77e814c7()
------------------------------------------------------------------

if anyone knows how to stop it doing that please let me know...

thanks

make sure you didn't make a typo.

also, you need one of the latest buids, 355 doesn't feature HT&L

yeah soz guys forgot bout this one, the d3d 32 bit stuff is very nice :D
will the 32bit eyecandy be implemented in opengl soon? or is it already there?
i tried the hl&t it was very fast but very buggy, but the hl&t ppl know bout the bugs already...

HT&L isn't finished in OGL.

HT&L is a WIP, but D3D is far enough done to somewhat work.

ht&l isnt THAT buggy anymore... It's playable.

Although theres been massive slowdown on the latest builds. Even HT&L is not really "ubar-fast" anymore. I tried to find out what exactly causes the slowdown, but i didnt manage to find out what the heck the lines commandline was (2 people have posted one, but neither of both works)...

Is it normal that the shinemaps don't work in ht&l? I have a feeling some other people have the same problem (Turnsky?)...

I think it's not implemented in Radeon cards below the 9600 level, but I may be wrong.  I had a 9200, and it didn't work, sadly.

But my GeForce2 does it nicely...

Um... no. Without HT&L, Software is renderring it, and the PC itself is adding the shinemapping. With HT&L it's all on card, and that's where it varies by card... Right?
