In following with my attempts to conbine terran and vasuden in one ship i have a strike corvette that was inspired by the starcraft battle cruiser and Hatshepsut destroyer.  the skins need redoing as usual and i need to remake the multi part turrets but here is what it looks like







here is why i need to redo the multi part turrets.



There are three main beam weapons and six forward anit-cap ship missile launchers.  and to defend the rear their is four light to medium beam weapons.

since u dont have 3ds max thats all i'll say :)

Devils_Hitman so i may not use the same program u do.  but at least i am trying to improve my skills with what i can get hold of.  

I altered some of the turret possitions and changed all the multi part turrets completely.  The texturing has also been redone and i like the result.  Some of the ideas are also inspired from Inferno, so if anyone from Inferno sees this and likes it i will gladly let u use it.

I wasn't thinking illegal version.  I was thinking a downloadable trial version.  then seeing where i stand.

's a nice concept, I'll give you that. :) Needs a helluva lot more polys, though. Add details, to break up that big grey texture, and to smooth it off around the edges. At the moment it looks like it was hewn rather than built!

You could make the front "hammerhead"-type bit curve down like the engines, and add some superstructure to the spine of the ship and the front hull. Add some stuff to the engine nacelles to make them less prism-like. Then make the turrets a bit smaller and shorten the barrels. Also, the ones on the front just need to be little disc-like shapes, not huge cylinders.

If you want to try 3DS Max, then download GMax from www.discreet.com. It's pretty much the same (so I'm told - I haven't used 3DS Max), but without the rendering functions. :)

It makes me remember a Battlecruiser from Starcraft.
It needs better texturing(obviously). The shape is good.

Maybe this is just me, but the turrets seem too big (Or the ship too small).

I could say that i was trying to get a bit intimidating look happening.  as in a big chunky visualy intimidating barb with big weapons and the strength to match.  so thats why i made the turrets big.  but i will try smaller turrets to see what it is like.

After making the hull more corvette size i tested my ability to make turrets work.  

the three foward guns



the rear guns



just double the fire power for the botton rear guns

and finily the missiles.

You need to break up the big flat space at the front.  And also it needs a retexturing job, bad....
