Some explanation needed...
Sorry, I know it might be a dumb question, but I really don't know where to search for the answers, so here it goes:

Some things are just said that they're there and how to activate them, but nothing about what they do  :(  ; I aim this especially at "Phreak's targeting code" and "fighter flaks" (there was another one I don't remember yet).
Could anyone please explain these to me or give me a link to where they are explained?

Phreak's targeting code: Makes ships in the targeting view be shown as wireframe versions

Fighter flak: Don't know, it might be either AAA beams doing damage to shields, then hull, or the fighter beams Bobboau was working on implementing a while back.

Thanks for the explanation of Phreaks targeting code (you sure that's all it's about?), but concerning fighter flaks
 - No, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with beams; they're described in the SCP readme very detailed (including fighterbeams).

Oh, and just if you ask now where you can get this readme - it's on the first page of the fs2_open 3.5.5 - topic and contains quite many useful information, just not what I asked for in this thread.

Any other ideas what "Fighter Flak" does ? :confused:

places flak guns on player ships :)

simply enable "flak" for a fighter weapon and it'll work.

the "phreak" command line will add another pair of lines to the scan effect.  we just needed a way to enable that.

Actually, since the game uses LOD1 for the targetting view and models are getting higher and higher poly in the SCP, it might not be a bad idea for a wireframe option to help stop draining resources?

Oddly, in TS, when I switch to wireframe view, I get a lower framerate than in OGL mode...

OGL is my friend...
