I was bored, and something came to my mind: What if I model something simple, not related to FS? What would it be? Ahhh ... a Sith lightsaber.

Here is what I did:

I cannot make nice textures. I just modelled it, I have no remote plans with it. By hobby.

What exactly makes this a Sith lightsaber?

I did. I don't understand why you call it a Sith lightsaber.

Because "Sith" is a fun word, and sounds sorta cool when you say it out loud. Sithhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

So um. Does that mean that Dooku's saber is not a Sith Saber? Or that Vader's isn't a Sith Saber? Can you show me a canon source where it says they are not? I mean, after all, only double bladed sabers are Sith sabers, then evidently we either have a discrepancy in canon sources or we have a misunderstanding about what the canon sources or saying.

The one with double-blade is a Sith lightsaber. The single bladed variant is a simple lightsaber. Single sabers are used by all Jedi, even by Siths. Just the standard weapon of the Sith is the lightsaber this topic is about.

So you're saying neither Vader NOR Dooku use a standard saber and that all other Sith who do use a standard Sith Saber use a double bladed saber.

All this despite the fact that we've only seen ONE double bladed saber and that MOST Sith use a single blade?

I think you're interpretting stuff incorrectly. But hey, if you want to, that's your business.

Dooku and Vader were using a standard saber, as I told. Before(and during) the Sith wars, Sith lightsabers were widely used.

Dooku and Vader were not using a Sith lightsaber. They had a standard, single saber.

So, that means that KOTOR is wrong? :p
coz last ( well only ) sith I saw were: one with standard saber, one with two sabers, and one with a standard saber, and one of those short light sabers ( a light knife? :p ).

Does it matter? At all? Even in some bizarre alternate dimension where there are such things as Sith and lightsabers?

I mean, pedantry where the subject might actually have some bearing on the imaginary universe, fine, that's your fanboy bag, but honestly, even the Star Wars characters wouldn't give a **** what you call your phallic energy weapon of overhypedness.

And the saber itself? Um, take the ring bits off of the end and I could swear I saw that exact thing in a porn movie, but there's nothing outright wrong with it. Mostly because there's not much there at all- it's an untextured tapered cylinder with a few thingies on it. Not even that many thingies. It could honestly be anything, and nobody'd really be able to argue that.

Does it matter? No, I was just *****ing :D
I'm not a big Starwars fan to be honest ( but at least I like it, unlike some other famous scifi universe ).

DoubleBladed lightsabers are called Lightstaffs.

IIRC, Exar Kun, before he turned Sith, made and used a Lightstaff. It was extremely rare that Sith ever used a Lightstaff, because it was so hard to manage and wield. Only the best could.

If you think about it, there really is no reason to even use a Lightstaff. Just using two separate lightsabers, one in each hand, would be a lot easier to use and allows a lot more freedom. A lightstaff is a stupid way to restrict freedom of movement.

I had almost forgotten about that movie until you mentioned it! Why must it always come back to PORN? Oh shiest, that was my inner voice right? :nervous:  Nevermind...

BTW does that give all the good jedi a bad rep if they like to run around wielding the so called "Sith Lightsaber"? Last time I remembered it was simply called a "dual-lightsaber"...
