Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

I dunno, i kind of like the rampant lunacy of most dreams I have.

Last night I dreamt I was Pierce Brosnan, hanging upside-down under Sean Bean's helicopter then fighting him under water, and then I was on Mars. My dreams are fine as they are.

A few nights ago I dreamt that this girl I knew here, who was here for a year and then returned to the US, had come back to Israel. So I emailed her and told her about my dream. She replied to say that she IS coming back - which she just found out a day or so before!

Get me a machine that'll do that - make dreams reality (only if you email people about them! :p) - and I'll get one.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

As well as conventional toys such as action figures, dolls and miniature cars - Takara, Japan's second-biggest toymaker - is behind several bizarre gadgets which it calls "life toys".

They include Bowlingual, a device that apparently can translate the barks, whines and yelps of more than 80 breeds of dog into human language, and Meowlingual, which performs a similar service for cat lovers. Time magazine voted Bowlingual one of the best inventions of 2002.

How do you know it's translating it correctly?

I don't dream anymore, but the last dream I had was about horrific torture, hell and Keira Knightley.

So I'm fine.

Meh, back when I used to dream, I'd do that with such frequency and accuracy that I stopped even caring when it happened.

I can even do it when I'm awake now.

I'll be sat thinking "Man, that was a good episode of Samurai Jack" then 10 minutes later I'll switch Samurai Jack on and it'll be that exact episode.

Hmmm. Add to that the fact that out of the last 10 times I've turned a light on, 4 have exploded (and I mean really exploded) and I seem pretty strange.

[color=66ff00]I dreamt that I was playing the part of Snake in MGS, the badguys were all zombie-android-Ed209 type things and the keycards for locked doors were different coloured kazoos. I actually dreamt the sequal a week or so later.

My dreams rock. (when I can remember them).

You're lucky.

There's nothing cool about being chased down the street by a 30ft Freddy Krueger who can walk through walls and shoot knives from his wrists.

I know EXACTLY what everyone would be dreaming about if they got their hands on that machine... Hell, I would be dreaming it. But maybe if I had a few dreams in which I would be in FS... Nah...

*Dreams about massive orgies...*

[color=66ff00]No cheeze before bedtime dude. ;)

I did have a nasty one where I was being chased around a cargo hold  with no exits by one of H.R. Geiger's friendly extra terrestrials. That one scared the hell out of me, woke up on an adrenaline rush. Thankfully that was a one off.

The most scariest dream I've had, I still feel is a premonition. In my dream I wake up in bed, next to my wife, she has those eye covers one for sleeping. Then she suddenly sits up with them still on brandishing a large kitchen knife and stabs it right in my face. Then I really wake up, freaking out, kicking my girfriend out of the bed and staying up the rest of the night in the living room. *shudder* man, that dream still haunts me cause it was so bloody short and out of the blue...
I have returned... Again...

I've had tons of Alien dreams.

Probably the worst dreams I've had though involve Yetis.

The first one: Me, my older brother and my sister (as well as some big hunter-type guys) are all walking through these woods in the mountains at twilight. We know the Yeti's/Bigfoots are watching us because we keep hearing things off in the distance. It's all like a cross between Blair Witch and the wood-chase scene from Dog-Soldier (but this is before I saw either of those films BTW). We happen across this log-cabin that's maybe 10ft x 10ft x 8ft and notice these ****ing huge chunks that've been torn from the roof and we're like "Uh, yeti claw-marks". But it's getting really dark and the Yeti's are getting closer so a few of us go inside and barricade the door and some of the hunter guys wait outside next-to the door and on the roof with guns. Someone then mentions that one of the hunters might have shot a baby-yeti eariler that day so there looks like there's no chance of the yeti's just leaving.

After a few minutes we hear gun-shots and screams then the shack starts shaking as the yetis attack it. My brother and sister try to pull the bracing-ropes and hold the shack together while I keep a gun handy. Eventually the shaking stops and we venture outside where there's like 2 hunter-guys left alive and covered in yeti-blood. We decide it's probably not a good idea to be hanging around for another night and head down the the nearby river as the sun rises. The hunter-guys build a little log-raft and we all set off down the river. A coupla minutes into it and we can hear things moving in the bushes off aways at the banks of the little river. Now, the bushes are only like 3ft away but being a dream this fact doesn't matter much. Slowly the landscape turns to a snowy-mountain kinda deal with bits of ice floating in the water. I lean over the edge of the raft to take a look at the ice and see this grey blob about 20ft deep in this 2ft deep river. It approaches fast and soon I'm deafened by a screeching sound as a Yeti lunges up out of the water and drags me under to my death.

Then the dream cuts to a kinda news-report thing with police fishing things outta the river in the background and news-teams swarming the area. The dream ends with a female chinese reporter, cloaked in black, holding a microphone and looking into the camera and saying "Today, a terrible tradgedy befell this quite mountain area. A group of explorers and hunters searching for, and in some cases trying to destroy, the legendary bigfoot met their gruesome end. No-one is quite sure what happened to them, but in this reporters opinion, nature took its course and these proud few were killed by the very thing they sought to destroy..........."

And this is why I'm now scared of Gorillas.

The other one involves an invisible yeti trying to get into my house and kill everyone and me deciding I'm not gonna be terrorized by some pussy-ass monkey and trying to attack it with a door and then a huge knife.

I've had a big **** load of AvP dreams as well, ever since I got AvP2. I'm always a marine, though the setting and the enemy species changes. I'm pretty deadly with a pulse rifle

And I do the thing with the TV as well. Usually Simpsons episodes - I'll think to myself, that was a good episode, they haven't shown that one in ages then that night it's on Sky. I swear they're doing it on purpose

I had one dream where I was a combat pilot in world war II. Best one I ever had.
And another, where, when I was real young and stayed up too late watching a Duracell commercial, I dreamt that my  family had batteries in their backs, which burst into flame, sending them screaming and running through the house, being burned alive.
yummy :D Lol, thankfully, I only had it once.

I was once terrified by one of my friends regarding a dream he had.

He was sat there and he just goes "I had a really cool dream last night. I was sat in the Simpsons living-room and Marge and Maude Flanders come in through the front door...." This is where we were all beginning to realise where this dream was headed. ".....and they start kissing each other. Then I stand up, but I'm Homer, then I unzip the back of my head and I'm me. So me and Maude and Marge go upstairs and spend the night having hot, kinky sex. I was so horny in the morning."

Now, this stopped us thinking he was gay, but still, Simpsons sex-dreams aren't the kind of thing you share with your friends one a lazy Sunday afternoon. That guy was such a wierdo.
