:wtf:  You are a very strange fellow.  It isn't a matter of revenge, it is a question of whether it is worth spending the money when it is unlikely I'd enjoy it much.

Incidentally, I think you are a bit confused about the meaning of the word ambivalent.
Sesqu... Sesqui... what?

No, I know the meaning of ambivalent but thank you for the vocabulary lesson :)  If you'd read your post again (although I'm sure you know what you wrote), you said that since you got fired from there, you were ambivalent whether you were going.  No comment was made whether or not you thought the movie was going to suck poo.  My razor edge logic would tell me that it was because of you losing your job and not your taste in cinema that you weren't going.  Hence the sarcasm in my post.

No, you were right that the reason I am unsure whether I'll see the movie is the personal history involved.  Your error is on two other points.

1) I said I was ambivalent, not that I knew I wouldn't go see it.  On the one hand,I have some personal connection with the movie (they were our props), which would make me inclined to want to see the movie regardless whether it looked like a good film or not.  On the other, the personal history would probably set me in a bad mood the whole time long.  So I have two factors pulling me in opposite directions, and thus I am unsure whether I should spend my limited cash on tickets.

2) You make a faulty assumption about the connection between the personal history and the ambivalence.  You thought I wasn't sure if I'd go or not because I wanted to get revenge by not giving them my $15.  But I have no interest in vengence.  My only thought is that awareness of the personal history might overshadow my ability to enjoy the movie, making it a waste of my money.  That's all.

What bothered me in your post was that you assumed I was being petty, and on that basis ridiculing me for being so ineffective at accomplishing what you thought were surely my goals (some sort of revenge).  To have such false assumptions made about oneself is never a nice experience.  Think before you speak, J3Vr6---not everyone in the world is filled with spite.

It's not that I have to think before I speak, it's that you have to gauge the validity of the statement before you actually reply.  Something so blatently out-there as my comment shouldn't be taken as anything more than humor.

You spent waaaaay too much time trying to explain yourself, Sesqui.  My comment was sooooooo overly overboard to be taken for anything more than a joke;  I would think by seeing your other posts that you would have more credibility than to not see a movie as vengeance of losing your job .  But apparently this struck a chord with you.

Now this will go back and forth because your ego was apparently bruised, so I apologize if you took my comment to heart so much that you felt you had to explain yourself.

If this keeps up I'm going to have to go cry and may wet my bed.

In impersonal communication, particularly on forums, it's often hard to judge tone simply by words.  There's no body language, and there weren't even any smilies in your first post.  It is the responsibility of the poster to make sure his tone is conveyed correctly.  Absolving yourself of the responsibility for your own language and insisting that others bear the burden of figuring out what you meant strikes me as rather arrogant.

Sesq is only interested in making sure that his opinion was conveyed accurately.  Don't malign him for merely trying to make himself understood.

Gah. I hate Vhin Deisl with a passion. Hell, I've crapped out pieces of turd that are more talented that that little prick, and better looking. I honestly don't see what people think he is such a good actor, him and The Rock. They both blow at acting.

Jesus, I knew this was going to go back and forth.  People definitely read too much into things.  How does anyone read a book without smilies or a picture next to it to convey sentiment?

Goober, he said I should think before I speak, which I explained otherwise in my defensee and I think I explained it rather succinctly.  You may consider it arrogance, but I was making an observation.

And how did I "malign" him for trying to make himself understood?  I apologized to him for the misunderstanding.  I even explained how the joke shouldn't have been taken as anything more by expressing my respect for his maturity in his other posts.    Did you want me to jump through hoops and spin a bottle on my nose, too?   If anyone is seeing malice or evilness in my apology then people are definitely reading too much into things and not looking at it in a level of sincerity and honesty in which it was posted.

Seriously, guys, this is waaay too much for something like this.  I'm sure everyone has more things to do with their time and enough things in the real world to bother with all this.  Did we also forget this was about a movie?

In the movie business, lack of talent is no barrier to success.

I can't understand what peoples fascination is with the Rock, either.  But then again, many people can say that about Arnie and Stallone.

Vin Diesel isn't that bad of an actor.  But the only movie I really liked him in was Boiler Room and maybe Pitch Black (very big maybe).
