Pretty fun game. I'm not to huge on multiplayer shooters, so a demo has the just right amount of content to last while I'm still interested.

I really like the vehcles. The Hover-ship (Manta I think its called) is especially original. And there's no greater satisfaction than getting a multi-kill with the side blades on the buggy.

I think the 5.5 gigs is mostly becase they intend to ship a crapload of 3D software and tutorials along with the game. They seem very serious about promiting the moding capabilities, so they are including everything one needs to make models and such. Its supposed to be 6 CDs or 2 DVDs. There will most likely be the option to install just the game without all the extras.

There's going to be a flyable dropship for both the Humans and Cybrids. (Cybrids=Evil Robots//Constructs)

Plus Tribes 1 and 2 have had flyable dropships for years.

Yes, well bear in mind that i only got a decent net connection a few months ago - and thus years after the Tribes games came out.

I'm not too keen UT2004 now, actually.... doesn't feel 'right' to me, and the vehicle controls are a bit ****. Although i'm looking forward to that Soldner game and Joint Ops - I want to strafe people, dammit!
