Telltale Signs a Shivan Was In Your Room
You know a Shivan has been in your room if...

1) You notice that around your window is a patched area of wall, in a mismatched color, that looks like it is covering the exit hole of an object of Shivan design:

:D

(This was my room in my recent period of reserves. When I finally noticed the design around the window, I knew I just had to get a picture to show you guys. ;))

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Hmmm, turned out with a bit of a sickly green tinge to it, didn't it? Oh well - the real color was plain yellow, and it was a much-welcomed change from plain (dusty, scarred, stained, and over-thinned) white. ;)

Telltale Signs a Shivan Was In Your Room
You know a Shivan has been in your room if there are bits and pieces of Space Marines littered around like popcorn on the floor after the movie ends.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Well, obviously, lying down and staring at a wall. I can also imagine him humming some song, for good measure.

And with the boots still on, too. Man, if anything bugged me during my time in Army Cadets, it was how sore my feet got from staying in my boots all day.

Reservists are "allocated" 25-30 days a year, which is usually split into one 24-day period of active duty guarding/patroling somewhere, and one 5-day period of training. With the budget cuts and the current situation in Israel, the army hasn't been able to spare people very often for the training periods, the last of which I did as a reservist was 3 and a half years ago.

Considering how much of a giant you are, I'm almost afraid to ask how much you actually ate. :D

If there's a Shivan in your room, don't expect to return to your room. It's probably a crater by now
