Dr. Phil's Personality Test
Pretty cool, this. Got it from a friend, and both her and my score are frighteningly accurate.

I got a 44. ;)

[q]Dr. Phil's Test
===============
(Dr. Phil scored 55 he did this test on Oprah -- she got a 38.) Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out. Read on, this is very interesting! Don't be overly sensitive!

The following is pretty accurate and it only takes 2 minutes. Take this test for yourself and send it to your friends. The person who sent it placed their score in the subject box. Please do the same before forwarding to your friends.

Don't peek but begin the test as you scroll down and answer.

Answers are for who you are now...... not who you were in the past.

Have pen or pencil and paper ready. This is a real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the major corporations today. It helps them get better insight concerning their employees and prospective employees.

It's only 10 simple questions, so...... grab a pencil and paper, keeping track of your letter answers.

Make sure to change the subject of the e-mail to read YOUR total.

When you are finished, forward this to everyone you know, and also send it to the person who sent this to you.

Number you paper 1 to 10 first.

Ready? Begin...

Now add up the total number of points.

OVER 60 POINTS:
---------------
Others see you as someone they should "handle with care."

You're seen as vain, self-centered and one who is extremely domineering.

Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS:
----------------
Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, one who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones.

They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure.

They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS:
----------------
Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head.

They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS:
----------------
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful and practical.

They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return.

Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS:
----------------
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.

They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.

It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.

They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS:
----------------
People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions and who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything!

They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist.

Some people think you're boring.

Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Now forward this to others, and put your score in the subject box.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Completely inacurate in every way.  I dont see why anyone would take this obviously flawed quiz seriously.  Look at who it's from, for example, Dr. Phil is a media-whore with an insatiable appetite for male bashing and money.  It doesn't matter what show he doing this week, his opinions and views on things change with the audience.  And his ideals and whatnot always seem to agree with the core audence he is marketing to at the moment...weird.

Demon's bashing aside, I've taken other personality tests, and the results from them are within an acceptable margin of differentiation from this.  Might be a few minor aspects of the category that don't line up for me, but, sometimes, they do fit.

Really, personality tests like these are very dependent on the mood of the test-taker, and whether they simply pick random answers because they feel like being an arse.  I've often found myself bouncing in the mid-40s-equivalent, just as much in the low 20s and below, all because I had something good/bad happen that day.

Incidentally, this quiz of his appears to be (at first glance, anyways) a modified version of the Meyers-Briggs/Jungian Personality test.

Heh, it's not like I believe you can determine ones personality with a single test that consists out of 10 questions total. :p
