Correct responses to excessively hostile prick-waving are thoroughly covered by the troll code of honor, as established by the completely fictitious IRC Accord of 1996. And real common sense would dictate that making grandiose threats over a minor issue isn't going to get a good response from anybody, whether you're looking to back up those threats or not. Just because you're a mod doesn't oblige anybody to coddle you when you feel like being *****y. But then, I can't be bothered to discuss common etiquette to somebody who lacks it in spades, especially one who has so little to say that they automatically assume they won't be listened to.
