Wacom Art... help / advice / opinions / etc. Needed!
Hey all, I got my pad today, and of course I'm diving in the deep end with using it, but the quickest way to get things right - other than practice - is posting up a product and seeing what can be improved (and indeed how) since I'm not used to working with a graphics tablet and this is my first image with it (once the basics were down).

So, opinions. The entire thing was done by me - in particular I'd like to know how to sort out the jagged/fat outlines... I'm thinking increasing the resolution while drawing them will help a lot - but all opinions and aid are welcome. Thanks!

Nico: Duely noted... but I'm not sure what the best way to get line art into Photoshop is (and indeed make it decent)...

Jiggyhound: Thanks man, nice tutorials!

Don't push it Stryke - if you think I get irritated when you're rude to other people, you're going to be doubly ****ed if you try and say anything like that to me again. Drop it now.

Anyone else have any decent input or tutorials or whatever? Turnsky... I just know you could give me a hand with this if you get the time and desire ;)

You realize that making threats basically obligates me to hound your mercilessly about it rather than simply stating the facts and moving on, right?

Never mind the fact that you so obviously agree.

It obligates you to just once shut up as opposed to being an ass about it over and over again. I don't care if you don't get any attention at home or at school or whatever. That doesn't mean you're invited here to make irritating comments to people.

And I don't agree. I couldn't disagree more.  But I do know that I can't be bothered to argue the worth of this to me. I also know that even if I bothered to try - you wouldn't listen.

So. Last chance - shut up. Remember these forums are here as a privlage for users. Not a right.

No, civil behavior obligates me to respond in kind. Correct responses to excessively hostile prick-waving are thoroughly covered by the troll code of honor, as established by the completely fictitious IRC Accord of 1996. And real common sense would dictate that making grandiose threats over a minor issue isn't going to get a good response from anybody, whether you're looking to back up those threats or not. Just because you're a mod doesn't oblige anybody to coddle you when you feel like being *****y. But then, I can't be bothered to discuss common etiquette to somebody who lacks it in spades, especially one who has so little to say that they automatically assume they won't be listened to.

You know, a five-second Google search turned up scores of tutorials on using brushes with a Wacom. Perhaps you should save yourself further transports of insecurity and try it.

So there. You've got a quick and easy solution that really should have been first recourse, you've got exactly one paragraphs' worth of insight into basic human psychology, and you've got an opportunity to lash out in an infantile fashion at a readily available outlet of your own (apparently very serious, for some reason) doubts or maybe take life like a man and earn the sort of respect that does get people to shut up when you want them to, albeit not necessarily if you ***** as much as you have here. I've made life easy for you. Knowing the general environment here, I can make a fair bet as to what the result of the latter choice will be, but hey- the post whore life aint' easy. The rest of the stuff's just to show, no hard feelings here, mate.

Fair enough, then I'll excercise my own prick-waving abilities and make good on my threats. Sooner or later you're going to learn that you are a guest here - nothing more. Also, you'll learn that a little sensible commentry (for instance, suggesting google straight away as opposed to making unnecesary flame-bait comments again) could save you a whole lot of trouble.

Because you see Stryke, however many times you attempt to display this selective intelligence. The administration here will still get to chose whether or not you get to be here.

This time, you don't. You'll be able to post using your account again in one week. All account you attempt to register in the mean time will be deleted without warning.

See you in a week.
