Just because the source got hacked dosent mean that they have to completely rewrite the stolen parts.  They obviously saw the need to delay and used a common occurance with a widely known company as an excuse for the delays.

At least Bungie isnt making stupid excuses for their delays.  The reason Halo2 is taking so long is that they are waiting for HL2 to start their ad campaign.  Marketing basics when dealing with these types of products.
