Hokey dokey, the 'perfectly legal' file I'm chasing isn't available on Klite, so everyone throw names of alternative p2ps at me :)

Strangely, Kazaa yielded the required MPerr... legal file after I threatened it with eMule and WinMX

[EDIT] I say, someone calling himself 'palkssays' is downloading pron off me. Good for him

Anyway, next question - how would I go about capturing or otherwise ripping a WAV or whatever from a streaming Real thingy?

I've found E-Mule to be the best for d/l-ing large files. A lot of rare stuff it has, and d/l's really quickly

Bottom line: sure like hell not legally, and illegally, please, please PM when you find out.

off course, hooking a cable from your sound output to you mic port and recording with the sound recorder of windows is an option......

Hmm... let's see what i can say without getting illegal...
Take a look into the Nimo codec pack, you will find tools for both QT and RM (after installing rename the latter as .avi)...
You will still need something like VirtualDUB to encode the thing...

Oh it works, but it's a little hit and miss as to whether you can find what you need, and whether you'll be able to pick up a decent transfer rate after that.
