Here I was thinking Earth III was dead and that it was sad the Earth series wasn't being continued. I checked online and what a pleasant surprise... Earth 2160.

Reality Pump has been working. :D

Is it just me or do those look somewhat like they were enhanced out-of-game? Anyway, pretty stuff... I just hope the strategy lives up to the graphical hype. :)

More screenies:

Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

Is it actually RTS or another of the RTS-turned-MMORPG?  The character models look detailed enough (but not great) to be trying to fill this role, but then they go about carrying 10-poly guns, so I can't exactly get a read.  The perspectives of those shots would seem to suggest that it is more character based than your typical RTS.

Edit: fixed a stupid mental slip, that should make a bit more sense now.

Good god! And I own Earth 2150... it got boring after a while but this looks refreshing!

It's a traditional RTS. In fact, Earth 2150 had no infantry (I think it's better that way). The angle is just to show off. :p

It look suspiciously like TA.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

"Lost Souls" :nervous:

Yes, Earth 2150 ruled!! And I must say, the UCS units in the first picture look great.
"Closing the Box" - a campaign in the making :nervous:

Sweet holy ****

Are those screenies, in-game?  They look more of renders to me.  But if they are in-game, RTS has come a long way since Cammand and Conquer

I don't like the mecha design, excepted that metal tank ( with the green fins ) in the top right corner in the second pic :p
The golden fighters would look better w/o the claws going up on the wing tips.

Uses Bezier curves, IIRC. So you can scale detail / up down by determining how often you interapolate between the control points when drawing the curve. (i.e. can adjust exactly how smooth curves and edges are dynmaically in-engine).

This game is going to be SO SWEET! INFANTRY! YEAH YEAH YEAH!

How I hate those 3D 'RTS' games.

There was an awesome RTS where you could build your own units my mixing tracks, bodies and guns, Warzone 2100 I think it was called. That was the last one that I really liked, but that had so many tactical possibilities it was unbelievable! :)

If they ever released the source code to that baby..... I'd have to learn C ;)

Other than that, Dune 3 left me cold, Warcraft 3 was pretty average, and theres a whole plethora of lookalike games who's names evade me. It might be nice to see some originalty creeping back into this genre :)
