And you wonder why the world at large percieves the Net to be the last refuge of the lonely and pathetic... No one wants to have their private affairs discussed by complete strangers over the Internet, so to me its just a common courtesy not to do to others what you do not want done to yourself.
As for the prom, they would prpbably have much higer attendance if they had stuff there that people actually wanted. Have a few local bands play, play some good music, that kind of stuff. The fact that rap and hiphop and kiddy punk are now "in" means thats what gets played at these sorts of events. Woo, its Avril Lavigne, lets all start moshing.......
