I hear Lomac has quite a few problems at the moment...apparently many many many will be fixed in the upcoming patch but I haven't jumped on ship yet...

I generally dislike modern/historical flight/combat sims, but LOMAC just moved up to the top of my purchase list. I'm considering IL2 Gold (or whatever that boxed set is with the Ace pack and Forgotten Battles).

Damn, if movies can sell games - that movie sold it to me.... never thought I could get such an adrenaline rush just from watching a flight sim trailer - guess I really am a junkie ;)

That said, I do prefer the slightly more interesting WW2 style of combat. BF1942 was brilliant fun for it.. though that was more or less pure arcade.
