Halo is more or less a continuation of bungie's roots in 3d gaming.. look up the "marathon" series of games for the mac.. they had mjonir mark 3 suits and such in it.

And Metroid is still not an FPS, despite what some people would tell you. Metroid is still an action platformer. I don't see what that has to do with anything though: I wasn't talking about game styles.

Metroid is a better, more interesting game universe than pretty much any other I've seen in a video game, and Samus Aran is my favorite one-woman-armor-suited-ass-whuppin-machine. No other rocks the block quite like Samus Aran.

As I've said before: A platform with Metroid is  a must-buy on the strength of Metroid alone. The same can't be said of Halo.

your opinion, not mine.. i'll take your word for it tho, i played metroid fusion on an emulator, a very enjoyable platformer..

you're still comparing apples to oranges though..

Hmm... now I know the game will own, of course, but that doesn't change the fact that Link looks just plain gay with no trousers. Although he is a lot more faithful to the old-skool Zelda games.

But what I'm really worried about is the lack of 'wow'. This video has nothing groundbreaking in it. The sword fight between Link and Ganon looked just as polished, and that was, what, three years ago? Unless they've a majorly new combat and navigation system, which I doubt, I see how this fits in with Shigsy's philosophy on Zelda games...

Excepted for one thing: it's a platform game.

*maybe* if Cheif was in his tank, and samus was bolted to the wall, and the metroi mother giant beast thingy was sucking all her energy, but still cheif would probably get his ass whipped. Have u seen the hardware that comes standards on Samsus power suit?

All Samus has to do is stand there and take the best Chief can throw at her, and when she gets tired of it, drop a super missile in his soon to be dead ass. Or perhaps a plasma beam. Or freeze him and just consider how bad she's going to hurt him, THEN whip his ass.
