You know, lots of people say that, but I'm not sure I agree. I mean, sure, we don't think it looks very good, but I think it's an important step in the progress of an artist to play around with these rudimentary techniques, upon which every different artist builds their own style. Who knows, someone may come up with a really killer way of using that lens flare one day. But all this... it feels the same as whenever people say to someone "you know, that model sucks... it just isn't designed very well. It serves no purpose, don't do anything with that..." But my really dodgy pieces of work were vital to my progress as an artist. I needed to put out bad work before I could put out anything good. It was a great use to me, I didn't need people to tell me it looked horrible - my own sense of art naturally progressed.

Hmm, well, there are my thoughts. Interesting render jd, I can feel the story behind it...
