Why I might appear grumpy lately:

The 5,5's are the grades I need to obtain to pass.
The grades after the Avrg thingy are the things I need to obtain on the next test.

The reason I am posting is is general ranting, boredom and as an explanation for some perhaps, undiplomatic post I may have made/might make.

Anyhow, good luck getting the grades up - and an assortment of other statements to help you feel better (I'm having a creative lapse, but the thought is there).

No, we concluded it wasn't cost effective with me being unemployed and poor.

But if you'd been reading NW, you'd know that I'm currently in the process of getting a job. So, basically, you're ****ed.

Yeah, but you'd need to get MCSE qualification first. (That's basic secondary ed, right?)

Hope you can improve your marks, kas. I just finished my first exam today, and I empathise with having difficult tests and stuff.

OK, things just got better.

I got a 7,2 on a 40% french test. That means, that unless I seriously **** up tommorow, I am passing French!

Now, only German, Latin and Dutch left......

I fail to see why anyone bothers to learn foreign languages other than English and/or German.

Everyone speak English and/or German.

You can phone any reasonably sized company in any part of the world and chances are they'll be able to patch you through to an English and/or German speaking rep/secretary.

an0n: tell that to the dept. of ed. over here. Any physicist has to know German, English and French, at a reasonable level, and at least one of them fluently.

Could've been worse. The PE isn't listed, and I dropped Geography somehwere 'round christmas, and I don't do Ancient Greek due to the teacher being terrible, and it interfering with my Latin classes.

you're taking *counts* 3 foreign languages? Wow, just....wow.

Since Canada is officially bilingual, I had to take French from around Grade 3 to Grade 9. After all that time, I couldn't put together a proper sentence other that "My name is...". Some friends of mine lucked out and could take their own languages as a credit, so for example a German learning how to speak German and getting a credit. I guess no one like Serbia...

I can't imagine what it must be like to take 3 foreign languages. How can you even be reasonably expected to learn that?

anon: tell it to 1.3 billion Chinese, several hundred million Latin Americans and I don't even know how many Arabs.
