Star Trek XI and the Romulan War?
Quote
In the same magazine, franchise head honcho Rick Berman said Trek XI would be set before the time of Kirk, but would not be connected with Enterprise.

Maybe it won't be so bad after all.

I'm glad I'm not enough of a Trekkie to understand what you're saying. :p

Go read the book about the Enterprise as a new ship, it's very good. I think it's called "Enterprise" :p and it involves Kirk's dad. And it's set before Kirk's time :p

Of course, now that Enterprise has ****ed up the continuity, it's probably invalid. :doubt:

Isn't that guy gone?  IF so, even with his promotion, he shouldn't be saying crap about ST. Or is this like his last season??? The other guy still is a problem though. We got to find a way to get rid of him.
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

Star Trek XI and the Romulan War?
Jesus Christ no.

That would suck for sooo many reasons...

1) The Alien Nazis on Earth would have nothing to do with the Temporal Cold War.

2) Neither would the Romulans.

3) They want to end the Temporal Cold War plot? :wtf: That's the best thing the Series has going for it. They need something longstanding like that... it's what made DS9 good.

Interesting, I thought that there wouldn't be another Trek movie after how badly Nemesis flopped.

KT: I think the alien nazi thingie is going to be part of how they're going to bring the time travel crap to a head and then resolve it.

Personally, I hate the time travel story lines. I like the Andorian-Vulcan cold war related stuff and wish they focused on other races like the Tellerites, etc.

There's a lot of stuff they could do this season, especially since the Andorians now have the blueprints for a planet killer. (so does Earth ;) )

*KT wants a non-queer TNG timeline resolving movie

or alternatively, a DS9 one... somehow.

Star Trek XI and the Romulan War?
Well, if it is set right after the Enterprise run, as Trek lore states, then you won't see Miranda-class ships. According to the Daystrom Institute Technical Library, you won't see Mirandas until 2243.

I expect you'll see ships of the same class as Enterprise, and lighter ships of similar design. Possibly a few new developments.

EDIT: Here's an example of what you should expect for "new developments":

And assuming they don't discredit that Voyager episode, expect one of the ships to be the NCC-01 USS Daedalus :p

In Ent we already know about some lighter human ships (I guess the one seen in the titles, and was in the last episode of season 2) as well as the NX ships.

I don't think we'll see the Daedalus, because the E-R war would be before the feddies.

Greywolf, where did you find that image? That seems to take one of the really old designs and mix it in with the art style in Ent (adding in more detail, etc.)

Daystrom Institute Technical Library.
And according to the DITL, the Daedalus was first built in 2158 (which is the ship that picture is of). Admittedly that's speculation on their part, but if it's correct, it would have been built 2 years before the Romulan War. As for the picture, it's either from TOS or TNG. I'm betting TNG due to the detail.

Check your list of blocked image sites.

Edit: Errr, same problem here. No blocked sites. :wtf:

I think their php is messed up. I get "No ships currently known to be in service" for all fleets. The Fed. Ships section is messed up too, I don't think it's a broken image 'cause I couldn't spot it in the source.

Tried installing .9.2, but Firefox still says it's .8 in the about box..

Edit: I think you're right, IE won't show it either.

These new buttons are sort of spiffy. :D
