OK, thanks for the clarification.
Since I get about all my info on British politics from El Reg (the UK version is down, btw), and Top Gear, my views are somewhat limited.

Mind you, Blunkett is clearly a complete nutter, thinking that tech will solve it all. Kinda like Senator Hatch.

Yep, that's about it, I personally think he has too much to prove. Every time the papers print a story along the lines of 'Asylum Seekers will Rape your Dog!!!1!1!one', Blunkett has a kneejerk reaction.

It's actually quite embarassing to think that other countries see him doing this ;)

Though admittedly, Blunkett is less knee, more jerk in my opinion ;)

Well, Blunkett may be bad, but that is one guy, in a pretty much sound cabinet as far as I can see. Over here, we have a whole buch of those people, our Foreign Affairs guy is pretty bad, nevermind the PM himself.

Can someone from Holland please explain to me why there is a terror alert on all areas where lot's of people convene? Sure, Al Quaeda as some reasons to blow us up, but what is all the "extra vigelance" supposed to consist of?

The day Holland gets attacked is the day I sprout wings and fly away to to moon. Its just about the safest place on Earth, on account of it being a peaceful nation with no real enemies.

BTW, I didn't know Blunkett was blind.

edit: kasperl, why in the world do you think that the current New Labour cabinet is OK? Its full of pseudo-imperialists and other not-jobs.

Compared to a chimp or Harry Potter as a PM? It's better. Sure, you have your own messes, but the sheer amount of not having a clue is overwhelming.
