I got back to reinstalling and playing FS1, i'm stuck on thet mission where you have to scan all thoes ships, sometimes arjuna can scan me from 2500m but sometimes i can be fne up to 500m close. Anyone have any tips?

Write the entire mission off as a bad job that doesn't belong in an action game, set it down to very easy for that misison and just kill all the fighters.

Or, wait about 1 minute after launch.  Put all power to engines since you wont be shooting anyway, and head for the 2 transports once they clear the jump node and it's SG's by about 500m.  theres a small space there where nothing will scan you and if you scan every ship as the pass by you should be ok.

Hmmmm . . . Is that the mission where you fly around in a captured dragon fighter? I kind of liked that mission . . . up until the point where Command tells you to try to fly into the hangar bay of the destroyer! I guess Command had one of those "Ooh, touch it and see what happens!" moments.

Anyway, I've never really had any problems with the patrols. It seems that if you just ignore them and go about your scanning business, they'll leave you alone.

err.. that was one of the scarier/better missions of the game, save for the retarded "fly inside and see what happens!" message... as you hit the invisible wall...

Just uh... stay away from them. Don't really know what to tell you.

If you can hotkey the entire wing to a key, that might help - then you could just hit f8 or whatever and see how far away every ship in the wing is.

Ah yes, i remember the first time, they tell you to fly in, i tried to jump out after but my drive was disabled, then 5 minutes later command told me my drive was disabled again, i had missed my window (i still made it though)

I also belive that was atmosphericaly one of the best missions

That's exactly what I do. Makes it much easier to spot them.

Yeah, i do the hotkey thing but it only shows the current targeted one and ones that are ofscreen

Just stay in the space between the 4 containers...and Arjuna wing will circle around you.

Boost your engines and head straight for the cargo and do not leave that area except to scan the Eva and Lucifer, as you will probably have to chase them down.

I found it amusing when I ordered all my squadmates to disable arjuna 1. Seeing them play grab-ass is quite a spectacle when your AI squadmates do it.
