Uhhh, what? Ninjas are just as extinct as samurai. Sure, ninjutsu is taught, but kenjutsu is taught too. For example Tennenrishinryu, the kenjutsu style taught by Isami Kondou (Leader of the Shinsengumi), is still taught in Japan.
